Oi, Rude Boy!!!! - I love Ska, 2-tone, Rocksteady etc.
In fact I'm listening to some right now (and I don't recommend skanking on synthetic mix carpets, I got myself one hell of a blood-blister on my toe, it burst and my sock is all bloody!) I'm going to a ska gig tomorrow night.

Strange as it may seem, I'm also into metal, and swing back and forth between the two. One week I'll be in DMs, turnups and a Ben Sherman shirt, the next I'll be head to toe in black. Yeah, I'm weird. Also love Motown and Soul (proper Soul, not the pop that passes for it these days [img]tongue.gif[/img] ), punk, etc. etc. etc. You get the picture.

Uss, Psychosomatic means the mental affecting the physical. So you may be in pain but the mind alone is causeing the physical pain.
In the same way, gaining benefit from the 'placebo effect' is a psychosomatic response. (Where you a given a drug you are told will make you better, but it's not a drug, just sugar, and you get better anyway because you think you will)

Well, I kinda like Rob Zombie, actually. It has nothing to do with industrial OR darkwave though, so that's pretty irrelevant.
Some good bands you mention, also a few I haven't heard of, possibly because you're talking industrial, mostly, not pure darkwave/ambient. Oh which Covenant do you like? There are a few bands around with that name, IIRC...
The things I call darkwave are for example Raison d'être, Ildfrost, Arcana, Sanctum, Wongraven, Ordo Equilibro, Desiderii Marginis, Aghast, In Slaughter Natives, Hagalaz Runedance etc.
If you like a more industrialised flavour to your music though, I'd really recommend Brighter Death Now or MZ.412...
Almost all of these are Cold Meat Industry bands.
