Someone once attempted a eye gouge on me....trust me it hurts. Also it doesn't have to be a gouge to hurt. Bruce Lee often preached the merits of a jab to the eye.

I think my nose may have grown some after I moved to Guildford at the age of 3, so perhaps that has a bearing on it, you may want to consider that in your research.
