Of course
And I post there too

Lifetime, you don't have to keep up with all the threads. Scan them through a bit, usually the first post is a good indication of the kind of RP it is. When you find one that looks interesting, read it, or ask someone for a synopsis of the happenings so far. PM is useful for this. If the thread is open, just write yourself in. Or, start a new thread yourself.
Helspanth, the RP forum is a place where we do roleplaying. You create a character, often but not always ADND like, and post your character's actions and reactions to what others do, based on who your character is. Lots of room for creativity. Usually there's some kind of thing you and the other players quest for, or you simply roam about trying to find monsters and loot.
There are also RPs set in space, the modern day world or a completely different, original setting. (Although I don't think we've seen a pirate ship RP yet...)
Some use strict rules, others don't but are limited by your own sense of realism. In some there's an order to the posts, in others you reply whenever you can and want. The most difficult part is finding a style that suits you, but the best way to do so is often to jump right in.

It's slower than real-life RPing, but you can make longer posts and take your time to be creative. Why not give it a try?

Well, I've cut out the tears in my latest threads, but there's still a fair bit of drama in my posts

Very simple, Kakero, just "hop" to it using the box in the lower right side of the page. Read the Thread titles to see which ones are OPEN and sound interesting.

Like Legolas said, it's a good idea to check the first post of each thread. That usually provides a summary of what's going on. Some threads (Hazardous Times, ORT Building, etc) have SEVERAL threads, but they are usually numbered and the most recent will always be near the top.

You don't have to scan every post in every thread. Just pick one, read through a few posts, and see if it appeals to you.

If you have more questions about a specific thread, you can PM one of the players and get info.

I understand your hesitancy(sp?). I'm an experienced gamer and love Roleplaying, but it took me several months to explore that forum. Now, I'm a regular in one thread and I've started my own.

It's just like going in a new store....come in, look around, and see if you find something you like.

As Legolas pointed out, if you find an OPEN thread that you like, you can simply write your character in. New players are always welcome.
