as i am new to the game can someone..............

can someone tell me if i install totsc over bg1 and import my main guy, does he keep all his items that he collected from bg1, or do i keep my whole party from bg1, or should i stock my main guy with all the items ive shared with my other npc players? and info would be appreciated

If I'm not mistaking:

If you import your character, you'll loose some items. However, if you convert your save game, all will be fine.

hmm,, saved game conversion,, i might have to have a play round with it, cause me no undy stand tooo good

Ahh.. SPOILER BELOW!!!

Don't worry, Tales merely upgrades the game by adding new areas, quests, items, and features (eg, unidentified items are 'blued', stacking of items, etc.). Your characters all remain as they were prior to installing Tales.

The 'easter egg' Ring of Wizardy outside of FAI got removed by something or other--can't remember if it was the first BG patch or Tales--but I do know that it is there when Tales is patched. So don't forget the patch. (Btw, if you didn't know about it, being spoiled is the only way you could ever possibly find out about it.)
