Summing up the War Forum?

I think this slightly altered version of an old saying completely sums up this forum's participants.

"There is your version of what's going on, there is my version of what's going on, and then there's the truth!"

With that thought in mind, lets use this forum to look for the truth, and to voice our convictions. "America Strikes Back" is only as good a tool as we choose to make it.

So lets take advantage of it!

too true.

however, i think a warts and all option is better. i can't see the point of just putting a viewpoint - i thought the idea was to discuss and debate and personally i couldn't give a monkeys' if people disgaree - that's what makes for a discussion/argument/debate. we need the passion

The idea is discussion! Debating your point of view against an opposing point of view is exactly what we need here. Those aren't warts in here! They're beauty marks Passion is ok, too.

Just no name calling or personal attacks. That's not what debating is about.

BTW, trying to make an issue out of a non-issue is perfectly acceptable in debating, and can be quite effective.
