Just caught up on posts since I last posted! Interesting read! Lots of 'hot-under-collar' reactions. Some nice sensible ones. I name no names, lol!

Guys and girls, we agree about some stuff, we disagree about some stuff. That's fine. We aren't robots and we aren't brainwashed, after all.

And we are all friends, right? We LIKE each other, even if we disagree. Yes? And Cloudy is right - whether we agree or not, we have no effect whatever on the actions of our leaders or on the outcome of their actions, so getting steamed up is pointless. (Hm. I can see those words being thrown back at me next time I get passionate about something, lol! )

Let's just remember how much we like each other, huh? (Yeah, I KNOW that sounds self-righteous! Sorry! I freely admit to being as guilty as anyone of being too outspoken )

Yes, good point. However, you yourself are not immune from this, Yorick! There seemed to be rather a lot of intolerance and nitpicking from yourself at Fljotsdale, recently, just to take an example. Your posts were way over the top, - sarcastic and unkind, your response to what you no doubt saw as 'intolerance'. Everything little thing she said, you jumped on her hard, with both feet and a heavy weight. So I think it's a little thick for you to be preaching tolerance!! 'Let he who is without sin cast the first stone' and so on.

Anyway, from what I've seen of Liliara, she seems quite capable of defending herself
Many thanks for the spirited defence, dear! But Yorick and I have sorted the problem, and are in charity with one another again, lol! We were always friends, even when we were at odds.

And Liliara is an ok girl, too. I don't agree with her, and her rejoicing struck a very sour note with me, too - but you gotta admire her honesty! She is very straight and open. You know where you are with Liliara.

Love ya, baby silver paws kitty-kat!

However ignorance is the root of fear. The child would need to know that not all the stove is hot, and the stove is not always hot.

Knowledge creates fear, further knowledge removes fear.

Nothing is scarier than a person who has a little knowledge who thinks they know a lot. Enter Mr. Mullar Omar of the Taliban.

It was just a metaphor, and I respect your perspective, although mine is somewhat different.

one wouldnt really know, if they were but didnt know it. The child is a metaphor for the innocence of not knowing. The stove is the expirience that breeds dicerning and knowledge, independant of fear. Fear is only applicable in the equation if it were unconsious after the stove expirience, and unknown to the individual at an ego/conscious mind level of self awareness. To know ones fears is to know them and to be able to face them. You cant face what you do not know, unless you are facing the unknown..

And the most destructive. In any case you have now contradicted your earlier statement: "a smart weapon is an oxymoron".

Hmmmm, a pen isnt a weapon...ah, I used another metaphor!!!

"The pen is mightier than the sword."
Not because its a weapon if that quote is unfamiliar to you.

i can use a pen as a weapon... are you saying i'm a liar?

------------------
It's simple. Once the Planet is hurt, it gathers Spirit Energy to heal the injury. The amount of energy gathered depends on the size of the injury...What would happen if there was an injury that threatened the very life of the Planet? Think how much energy would be gathered! Ha, ha, ha. And at the center of that injury, wil be me. All that boundless energy will be mine. By merging with the energy of the Planet, I will be come a new life form, a new existence. Melding with the Planet, I will cease to exist as I am now. Only to be reborn as a 'God' to rule over every living soul.

What are you saying? Are you trying to tell me you have feelings now? Ha, ha, ha... Stop acting as if you're sad. And there's no need to act as if you're angry either. Because, Cloud, you are... a puppet.

man... what do you guys suggest we do?

Taliban will never hand over bin Laden... yeah, you say they will, I say they will not. who is right?

we have to take actions at certain point, and US is doing so far so good... we will see

we killed some innocents, sad, but do you propose we do otherwise? what shall we do then?

Liliara is not celebrating over the death of so many people, I think. she meant to taunt our enemy bin Laden. I am with ya, Liliara.

Yorick, as I read throught the posts put up since I was here last night, I must say, WOW! You never cease to amaze me! You are, I believe the most intelligent one here. I do not say this because I agree with you always(though lately I could very well say you have been an extension of my voice) as a matter of fact, your views have often swayed me to a side I would not usually take. Yes, I have disagreed with you, but not for long!

Fljotsdale, I have gained a new respect for you. I admire your open opinions also. I can definately agree to disagree with one such as yourself (however, I would LOVE to debate JH against what I believe quite soon!)

Cloudy, thank you for taking what I said in context! I know it took some explaining on my part, but thank you for taking the time to actually HEAR what I had to say.

Nachtrafe, you know where we stand!

Memnoch, of course I will always contain myself to the best of my ability! (and if not, I will be ready with an apology) I have of late a great respect for you!

Just a few statements I wanted to post after reading over the thread!

And you never did think that it ever would happen again, in America did you? And you never did think that we'd ever get together again, but we damn sure fooled ya. We're walkin' real proud and we're talkin' real loud again, in America. And you never did think that it ever would happen again.... (Charlie Daniels)
