Personally I'd take Keldorn instead of Minsc although Keldorn really needs the gauntlets of dexterity to be effective. Also he can wield the best sword in the game while Minsc can't. That's a bonus. I quess it's one of the toughest decisions for a good party but I think the thing that makes me decide on Keldorn is the fact he can cast true sight. Very useful against enemy mages. But if you like the relationship between Minsc and Aerie you could always stick with Minsc.

They (Minsc and Aerie) have a few interactions but you can dump Minsc for Keldorn easily. Main thing when Minsc "adopts" Aerie as his witch, if she gets below 50% of her HP, Minsc yells "I must protect my witch!" and leaves what he's doing to go berserk on her attacker. It's part of his script, even with AI turned off.

If you're playing a Paladin, Minsc is probably better because of his druid spells (Entangle does come in handy, as well as Summon Insects), and because of his strength. I give him proficiency in Halberd and in 2-handed weaponry in my party so he can wield the Wave (+4 Halberd)

If you're not playing a Paladin, Keldorn would probably be better because of his "Dispel Magic" and "True Sight" abilities, and his ability to wield Carsormyr (Holy Avenger) sword. His stats are a little lower, but the Girdle of Hill Giant Strength and the Bracers of Dexterity turn him into a dynamo.

Onto "good" parties...if you're truly playing all "good" characters, then technically you shouldn't take Yoshimo, Jaheira, Cernd, and Jan into your party since they are neutrals. Anomen starts neutral, but turns "good" if you take him down that pathway, so that could be justified. Otherwise, the only pure Good NPC's are Minsc (CG), Nalia (CG), Aerie (LG), Valygar (NG), Mazzy (LG), and Keldorn (LG).

my current GOOD party is

me a very very good sorc (i mean teletubby good, a flower behind my ear good, spacecake-friendly)
aerie (romancing her, cuz I never saw the end of it)
anomen (i like his bickering and bantering and arrogance)
keldorn (isnt he a nice guy!)
kelsey (just checking his worth: i find him more annoying then anomen, with his constant overall and everywhere comments)

I used SK to make everyone lawful good, no room for error in my party!!

Wave?!
Dragon's Breath (both the weapon and the spell ) is soooo much better.
Have you tried it?
