Great guide Six, just one thing...
Can you provide a link back to your home page. I set your page of links as a bookmark... pain in the behind to have to go search for the home page, or go find a post by you for the link.

Oh, BTW something else you should add to your 'things this game teaches you that you never knew' section (the one where you discover that a halberd is the same size as an emerald). You can also carry as many gold pieces around with you as you like. really, where are 6 people gonna fit over 200,000 gold coins? they must weigh a tonne... and they are carrying them ALL.

Anyway, great site, spoiler free... which is both good and bad. Spoil me on these two points, i dont remember them (yes i have finished the game, so its ok to spoil me)

1. "If you explore the Western Tunnels, you may find a statue. Examine it, and read the inscription, "Place an animal sacrifice before the great Demogorgon to awaken his children from their long sleep." I fiddled around with this for ages until I found that the word "Place" was misleading: Items will not work."

2. "If you're in an area marked on your map as a "Bazaar," talk to people—3 of them are merchants. Annoyingly, they're not labeled "Merchant," so I missed them on my first game. Haven't they ever heard of advertising?"

I would like a broomstick useable only by Magic-Users(NOT CLERICS)that increases your movement speed by 5 or so. This would be used in a weapon slot but you can not attack with it. This is Designed for use by a soloing player for fast movement just as a classic witch or wizard would use them.

I also think that a calduron that made random potions would be cool, too.

Thank you, and good point. I think that at the top & bottom of every chapter, I'll provide a link to the Table of Contents, and in the Appendix on Links, I'll add a link to my title page. The site's not quite done, there are a few scattered changes I still want to make to it.

That's an easy one. They put the money in the same place they store all their food, drinking water, tents, bedrolls, armor polish, portable smithy, map, compass, tinderbox, etc., etc.....

DragonSlayer25, your Broomstick idea sounds fun, but given that Wizards have only 2 Quick Weapons to begin with, do you really want to use one of them for what's essentially a cut-rate Boots of Speed?

I like the Cauldron idea, but where would you carry it? The idea of toting a 30-pound cast iron cauldron around in your Quick Slot seems a bit odd--I would condense it down to the size of a mortar & pestle.

The Demogorgon only accepts living sacrifices.

The place in question is the Ust Natha Bazaar. Mistaking those guys for just bystanders (which is certainly what they look like) will cost you a lot of good items.

The staue will accept some items if you activate them. The figurine of the spider and of the dog draw its attention. Also summoned creatures and the berserker from the horn of Valhalla work. I didn't try a Gate'd one, but it would probably be cool to see a demon crushed in one blow.

I have an idea, which I'm wondering why it didn't get put in the game anyway since there's already some jokes about Black Lotus and cantrips.

first, a spell:

Counterspell
Level 7
Casting time: 1 second.
Duration: Instantanious.
Saving Throw: None
Effect:
Targetted creature gets a casting failure on the spell he is casting(or however it would be done). Grants the caster Improved Alacrity for one second(So there's no penalty for casting it). This spell is not effected by resistence, protection, or immunities of any kind.

Extremely powerful, but extremely situational, hence the very short casting time.

A "Scroll of Counterspell" would be nice. Replace something useless like Ghoul Touch...

I meant a small cauldron. You would only be able to make one potion per use and the vials are pretty small from the pictures. I was thinking along the lines of a small saucepan as far as size goes.

How about this?

The Sphere of Anihilation - is a three dimensional globe shaped portal to the demi-plane of Dark Energy (not the Negative Energy Plane, but Dark Matter science related). Like most portals, it will not work without a key. The key is a medalian called The Talisman of the Sphere. The key must be equiped in the necklace slot to activate and control the sphere. The sphere must be equiped in one of the three quick slots to function. The user must be a single or multi-classed mage or sorcerer of 12th level or greater. When used, it shoots out at a target of the user's choice. It can only attack once a round and only ten rounds per day and only once per day. So, if you use it for two rounds in one battle, that's it for the day. The user cannot preform any other function while controling the sphere due to the intence concentration needed. The target must save vs. rod/staff and wand or be disintergrated, items and all.

Talisman of the Sphere - is a simple medalian worn around the neck with no additional properties.
