The revisionism of history by Islamic nations - denial of the holocaust for example, and now this - is an offense to human truth, human understanding, peace, intelligence and reconcilliation.

The whole "fabrication" issue is not only an insult to Jewish historians - who yes, were literate well before their Arab counterparts - but also to the Persian and Roman historians who recorded the rebuilding of the temple and it's subsequent redestruction.

I challenge you, Skunk, to go dig up one -- just one -- shining gem or nugget of info indicating that Jews have a tendancy to rewrite historical facts [edit: well, let's do ignore the creative histories of the likes of SKG and other big-name Hollywood jews, please ]. I think you'd have to go back to current historians' ruminations as to what happened during biblical times (about the time when the church, library, and head of government were all located in one centralized managed area) to find any evidence of the sort. I've read several articles about Muslim scholars working to rewrite historical facts, but have yet to notice one about Jewish scholars doing the same. It's a cultural trait one group has that the other does not.

So the pot simply ain't black. Maybe it's a case of a copper pot calling a kettle black?

Skunk, you shot yourself in the foot with that one. A library of informative sources (which appeared to read pretty accurately and fairly from my brief look) is not revisionism -- in fact, it appears to be quite the opposite.

This is the site that has an entire chapter entitled:
"Rewriting History in Textbooks"
which demands that history is re-written to paint Israel in the best possible light - despite FACTS to the contrary. They might at least wait until those of us who WERE ALIVE when those event took place AND REMEMBER THEM CLEARLY AS THEY WERE have died before attempting to re-write history into their own utopia...

I just finished reading that chapter Skunk and it no where "demands that history is re-written to paint Israel in the best possible light"
