I specifically remember one post from a European member that said (in effect) that the Americans should quit "whining" about the 9/11 attacks and that we got what we deserved because we were just being "paid back" for all the egregious wrongs our country had committed against all the other countries in the world. That was not only "shabbily dismissive", but excessively callous as well. At least MagiK didn't imply that the innocent victims in Bali deserved to be bombed. He simply didn't give it the amount of attention you felt it warranted.
One idiot said this and he was rounded on by all members of the board wherever they lived, and rightly so.

"Sitting in wait - Priceless" - well, I'm not sure exactly how you wish to describe it, Donut, and it doesn't really matter to me. Your original comment was.....

Some honesty from you would be nice Magik. You re-registered simply to post this thread. I know this for a fact because I've been anticipating this thread being posted for the last 24 hours. I read it when you originally posted on another forum, when you further stated:

"Well yeah.....I even am thinking about making a guest appearence at another forum to post this"

So you read comments he made on a different forum and then "anticipated" him making a post for 24 hours. My apologies. Obviously "laying in wait" was the wrong phrase to use. I will correct that and say you were "waiting in anticipation" - which is backed up by your own words. Of course, as I pointed out two days ago, your "anticipated assumption" that MagiK re-registered just to make this one thread was totally and completely wrong. I know for a fact that he had over 28 posts on his first day back, because I teased him about it. If you count the number of posts made by the MagiK Man in this thread, you will see that it still falls far short of that number. So obviously, the C.E. forum was not the only forum he was interested in returning to.

Hiya Cloudlet (smooch) - I am a modest drinker at best, and a "three pot screamer" at worst . Merry Xmas though darlin, to you and Nachty, and make sure he doesn't drink all the Egg Nog (share Jim - share)

And Cerek of the "ambush" complex - I think you are reading a tad too much into things - not your typical even handed summation at all. If you are playing chess and your playing partner muses out loud "I think I will move my pawn to king 4" do you "anticipate" - do you "strategise" - or are you "laying in waiting"?. There is no need to adopt the worst possible spin on everything - just remember, the glass is half full. Cheers dude - and Merry Xmas .

JUST KIDDING!

Donut & Davros - Please accept my apology for being so "snipey". Cloudy is right...it is the season for Goodwill Towards Men (AND Women ). But I got too caught up in the arguement and forgot about that.

So I offer an apology for my actions.

I totally HATE certain Liberals/Dems that hate or bash Bush JUST BECAUSE they are Liberal---like a 'license to hate' or something. I know most of you are not like this, but I know some locally, and they are so.... well, let's just say I don't waste my time with them.

Just remember, don't dwell on EVERYTHING that is negative all the time. When Our President DOES have good things happen, also talk about that as well, and since we haven't seen anyone post the good news reports, I ask you, why is that? Just wondering.... I think that was what MagiK was meaning in a way as well.
In this lies the problem (sorry Magik's first post was tooo long to quote). Whereas most Americans directly benefit from a strong economy we outlanders don't have it the same way. However we are affected by Bush's foreign policy, which perhaps Americans are not to the same extent. Therefore I tend to judge Bush, and Clinton before hime etc., with regards to their foreign policy. Why? Because that is what effects me. And I'm sorry to say it but Bush has not made Canada a safer place to live in IMO. Sure they might have grabbed Saddam. That doesn't affect me the least. I have never been afraid of Saddam since we have never had anything to do with him. And I don't see why Bush should be congratulated for that; I will however be the first to congratulate the Iraqi people. In short, Bush's foreign policy might seem good to Americans (don't know if it does) but here, well arrogant is actually the best word for it.

OK, did that make any sense at all? If not I'll try to explain my point(s) further if possible.

It is a true pleasure to see you back here - if only briefly. I sorely miss some of the discussions we had back upon a time.

I hope you and yours are well and have a wonderful holiday!
