Ok...so I was a bit presumptuous in thinking that Surinam would be a tough one.

So how about Chad, The Gambia, Bhutan or Tuvalu???? Huh?? Come on you Punks!

Ahem.

Sri Lanka:

+ Small, yet bursting with things to see and do; wildly entertaining.

- Horrible male behaviour towards females; more (aggressive) touts than you can imagine.

ps. Felix, I won't tell my (Polish, 28yo) gf what you wrote. She might come after you... Beautiful and vengeful: such are Polish women. Sometimes they remind me of Dostoyevsky's descriptions of Russian women. But NEVER make that allusion in Poland.

Let's take a look at Austria

+ very high quality of life (Vienna is 3rd on the toplist IIRC), tap water better than other countries' mineral water, patient unhurried people, no strikes, good wine

- too patient (=slow) people, high taxes, expensive, slow trains, speed limits (80mph on highways), goofy weather (at least nowadays)

From my brief visit there, I would say:
1. One of the world's oldest legal traditions. (the Viking "Allthing")
2. Unique landscape -- it looks so "alien" that the early US astronauts went there to train for the lunar landing.
3. Natural hot springs.
4. Lots of untouched and rugged nature.

ooops, I was supposed to stop at 3.

Hey you have actually been here? cool, when?

and well you are right about the landscape, it's kind of amazing.
I read it sometime ago but havn't seen much about it since so it could be a whole bunch of crap but next year Nasa will send people here to train for a mission to mars... .

The untouch nature might not be here for long though, the current government has such huge industryplans I think there ultimate goal is that Iceland will be one big Alumium factory...
