sorry for everybody who hates me because i keep talking about it but most of this s**t was told to me by my brother and also my teacher, but right now, in this very room- here he is! the man, the myth(not really): my brother. im sure you will like to beat him up soon. you`ll see
My brother-

Someone out there pointed out that America lost too liitle number of men. I wished to say compared to Russia (13 000 000 troops, 7 000 000 civilians killed) they lost even too much and the reasons:
Civilians, america had no reasons to make at least 7 000 000 civilians tourists to be equal to russians (look how much troops we lost, germany is evil)
They entered too late (1941). They mainly fought the "strong" Japan. Ok, it was strong in the world, but compared to Uncle Sam, who at one point found best to GIVE russians 400 000 trucks, they were mosquitoes on the window, no offense, anyone from japan.
Where did they have to fight? Germany was losing the war the day, it started it. Don't get me wrong, they were very successful and talented, but lets compare them to Russia, who had almost 5 times more tanks (5000 compared to 28 000), plus almost a thousand of german tanks were practically trucks. Germans also had less infantry (almost 3 or more times less). Then there were America (400 000 trucks as a present, what would they use as their own army?) and England. Both of them took shifts in bombing the germans (englands at night and americans at day or reverse, i'm not sure). Germany lost 1000 000 civilians to that. The americans had no reasons to put their troops anywhere, Normandy didn't make the war.

You can't tell an entire country was blood-thirsty. would you agree, that the americans, after 20 years, would be pissed about WTC? Ok, pissed, maybe, but bloodthirsty? They're not really comparable, but still...

SS wasn't 100%gang of rapists and such. If some really did that, should we tell the entire army was a gang of rapists? I have a link ( http://www.panzer-prints.com/new_page_1.htm ), telling that the Estonian division wasn't involved with any atrocities, so when I'd like to use your logic, SS was 100% patriotic. Of course, they had nowhere to do atrocities and you might even tell that their atrocities just weren't reported, but i have one thing to say to those, who think this way: Piss off. it's BS.
When russia conquered Berlin (with the pointless help of the other allies), 300 000 women were raped! I don't think the SS got the number so high, although they did have a number, of course.
Someone in holland, who said SS was full of killers and was an immoral thing, should be very f**king shamed! Holland gave the most troops to the SS (50 000), maybe except to germany. You should look it up and tell it to everyone you know.

Why would you flame Uss? Because he was in the wrong side, yes? Well, anyone, who tells him he's nazi because he didn't think he'd like to be in the side of Americans, English nor the russians when talking bout the war, should shut up.

Umm, sorry to shatter the illusion, no-one is calling him a nazi, no one is saying the deaths on either side were a good thing, I say we just acknowledge that different people will have different views depending on circumstances at the time and we won't be able to change your views.
All I wanted in the other thread was to remind Uss that both sides may have done things wrong, but as long as he acknowledges hoqw atrocious the genocide was.

Um USS you might want to tell your brother abou tleandlease. You know that is where the US sent all those tanks planes guns and amunition to the soviets. Also plese point out to him that the US stated policy which they followed in the War was to concentrate on the Germans and their allies before Japan. Also plese remind him how the soviets and the germsn were friends prior to the German attack on the Soviets. How they divided Poland between themselves. Oh about the bombing ask him why he think sthey took turns. From what i have studied the Allies kept up a constant bombarbment of Germany durin gthe war. In fact the Americans ran a daylight bombarbment campaign which is considred more dangerous. S for the Germans losin gthe war from the start. That is a bit off too. The German high water marks was the winter of 1942. The war started in 1939. In fact had the Soviets not manage to break through the german allied line just west of Stalingrad the soviet government was about to colapse. But hey never let facts stand in the way of idiology.

Personally I don't think it's a good idea to let someone use your account to post here. He actually makes you appear even more ignorant than you already do.

Uss, I will be keeping a VERY close eye on this topic as it is a very divisive and inflammatory one. We allow all to have their say as long as they do so politely and with respect for others. We take a pretty dim view of Nazi sympathizers/apologists here, as do most of the world. Your brother is entitled to his opinion and has had his say - if his statement causes a flame war to erupt I will be locking the thread, irrespective of who starts it.

You have to look at both sides. According to German high command, nowhere in Europe did they encounter more resistance then in The Netherlands. There are twisted people in all country's, and 50000 isn't really that much when you look at the big picture.
And lets look at the people that joined the SS. Mostly scholars, members of the Hitler Jugend and other youngsters. Mainly because they were brainwashed by German propaganda at schools and in social life in general.
