Actually Illumina his sentence was a run-on, and he should have used 'has said' instead of "have said". But, that is beside the point. Hickfam there is no need to go after other opinions as to which character to use, or which is better. If you're going to do that, why not just invite the forum over to your house, and we can all play the game for you.

Well, I didn't give him any definite advice. I just chalked up what he was going into.

On the powergaming point I think Jaheira can be just as nifty if you have mastered the use of druid spells.

Her weapon selection might not be that great, but you can still give her Belm +2 scimitar of speed or blackblood +3 club of alien weirdnes. Gnasher is also a rather cool weapon.

Awwww... I feel flattered. Good post nevertheless, rather neutral too, which is good.

Just to add some more,

As a dualclassed Fighter->Cleric, Anomen can dualwield properly( able to put 3* in Two Weapon Style) and can Grandmaster( 5*) in a weapon type. Anomen lacks DEX however, and will most probably need the Gauntlets of Dexterity to better his AC score.

Jaheira can be a good melee combatant as well, with Ironskins being her most potent defence. Combine that with her exceptional DEX, and she is rarely hurt. I like to put points into Spears when I use Jaheira due to a very powerful weapon found in Chapter 4.

A Multiclass Fighter/Druid can dual-wield properly, as well.
On the other hand, if you're playing with the Grandmastery patch, Anomen gets a real boost, being a dualed fighter who can grandmaster in flails (for the amazing Flail of Ages).
Anomen gets more spells then Jaheira, but his spells are, IMHO, less useful.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned it before - IRONSKINS! This is an amazing spell for a front liner.
Although her weapon picks are not as good as the Cleric's, Jaheira can use scimitars and clubs - so a good combination for her will be dual wielding the Blackblood club (from Trademeet) and the Belm's scimitars (from the Grove). A very potent combination - a lot of attacks, crushing damage (good for golems) and elemntal damage (good for stonskinned mages).
On the other hand, being a half-druid, her spells are, IMHO, better:
Insect Plague is better then any clerical spell for fighting wizards.
Summon Fire Elemental is better then any clerical summon.
And did i mentioned Ironskins already?

Gnasher is the best weapon for Jahiera - it does more damage than blackblood, just spread over a long period - great for stopping spellcasters

Just as an aside, I once had Jaheira dominated by vampires, she bopped Imoen with Gnasher and then the spell ended, but Imoen kept getting hurt by the splinters and running off from the enemies to attack Jahiera again.

You once again remind me of the dialogue between Mazzy and Jahiera:

"Perhaps you could be more constructive and less..."
"Bitchy?"

Honestly.. Your construction and punctuation are less than perfect. Nobody is perfect. So could ya please try to be a bit more pleasant? I don't want to start a war or anything here, but there's no need to be so snippy all the time.

Get over it Illumina; you're taking it way too personally.

Jaherie is ok but I found later on in the game she wasn't much good. I'd rather have 2 clerics (Anomen and Viconia to cast that lvl drain protection spell) Also he has turn undead makin him good to beat the undead. Jaherie is useless against them. Most her spells don't work. I agree on incest plague but as in most things they loose there use later on in the game. Besides. 2 mages casting magic missle and 2 clerics casting holy smite is the only way to defeat a dragon.

Incest Plague
Conjuration/Summoning

When this spell is cast, several portals are created. These portals are unique in that you cannot travel through them, just observe what is on the other side. The portals surround the victims, giving them a lovely view of disgusting. unnatural sexual acts between inbred rednecks who dwell on the Mundane Plane, far removed from Toril. The victim must make a save vs spells or be blinded, and even if the save is successful projectile vomiting prevents the victim from doing anything for 1d6 rounds/caster level.
