Not if the director has the kelsey patch. And if theres any justice Anomen woudnt be *quite* so annoying in the film.
That will be a rather dramatic twist of the truth

Or, even better, just as a romance is budding, Firkraag takes off Anomen's head? I'm sure THAT would please an audience.

Hm... some of the casting choices from previous threads include Alyson Hannigan as Imoen and David Borenanz as Cernd (both submitted by 'Buffy' fans, I'd guess...), Angelina Jolie as Bodhi (far, FAR too close) and John Malkovich as Edwin (haHA! Brilliant).

I agree that DeVito would make a good Jan... I would cast myself for the part of the PC, thank you very much.. Though I think there is a huge possibility for the film to become a humiliation for gamers everywhere ala the DND movie.
Personally, I don't think a movie would be good. I don't care how good the LoTR movie is; it should not have been made a movie. Part of the beauty of the books was that if you wanted to experience them you needed to invest the time and energy in them. Now any old fool like the people on the Kia commercials can see the movies, say that they're awesome, and move on. Making books into movies cheapens the mystique. I admit that the game doesn't have that mystique, but there is no way that a movie could do the game justice. After all, when you play the game umpteen times you experiment with party members, classes, races, and gender. Having the PC an elven mage would make a much different movie than a PC half-orc cleric. And forget parties...

I hate to say it but the bg series would make an awful movie.(even trilogy) it would be incredible if it was medicore.(try explaining what a drow is to someone who doesn't know) that said i'd like a paladin pc(conflict from a paladin, obviously of another god, being the son of a god of war. that's a hell of a lot of internal conflict) and sorry evil people but it's set in stone theyed be a good party.
i think alyson hannigan would make a good imoen, I don't know who could pull off minsc, Vin diseal for sarevok, jahiera hmm, Has to be strong but caring, Salma hayak maybe,
