The sad thing is they weren't far from having a decent game.

I LIKE dungeon crawls, and I like turn based play. They were so close to having a cool game but it's almost as if they were forced to deliver it before it was really ready. It seems like they never actually play-tested the game or they'd have found all the problems.

They had these great looking topside screens, ok quests (better than DS), and a workable story line.

But they had playability problems that made the game super frustrating... and were totally fixable if they'd taken the time. Add to that the joke of a level up system (L16 limit), what were they thinking? They made one bad decision and then had to make another to try to compensate (make characters levelup at a painfully slow rate). Somebody on their design team should have slapped whoever was making those calls.

Then there's the dungeons... redundant redundant redundant. They all looked the same (pretty plain) and the key chasing got to be rediculous.

Add the fact that there were wasn't much variety in the monster types and it makes me think that they just plain ran out of time or money... so they cobbed together whatever they had and sold it.
