Nah, seriously, I'm not too fond of Anomen. Of all NPCs, Saemon Havarian is the one I dislike the most.

Yes I really dislike Saemon Havarian do you ever get the chance to kill him in TOB?(haven't played TOB yet though have it installed). As for Anomen his attitude is annoying yes but I actually found him to be a useful NPC once he passes his test. This is my third game and the one character I've never really used is Cernd. I always take him(apart from my evil party) to do Trademeet quests and then I do the quest about his wife and then it's bye bye Cernd. I don't hate any NPC they all can be useful in your party if played right but the one I dislike the most is Cernd but to be fair he does have 18 wisdom so he's not all bad.[/QUOTE]i shot sdaemon down on the ship with the githyanki!

Also, I just wanted to add: hating Minsc is just an opinion. Personally I can't stand edwin, IMO his attitude problem far out weighs Minsc' insanity. I always end up using Edwin as target practise or leaving him as Edwina for eternity.

I suppose you're right, it's all just a matter of opinion. I personally just prefer the evil guys rather than the do gooders, they just piss mne off with their attitudes and you gotta agree that even though Edwin does have a bit of a bad personality, his status as the best spell caster in the game far out weighs it, IMO a bad attitude is worth suffering through for level 9 spells!

Well, you do meet him again. He has gotten himself in trouble with some thief-cult, IIRC, and asks for you to help him. I didnt help him, though, I made my Cavalier slice him down where he stood. "Torm take you!"

I am reading Siege of Darkness currently. I admit I shouldn't have been criticizing something I don't know everything about. But, TDD is overall bad, so I presumed this is just another mistake.
(That was a spoiler, although some hints about breaking his banishment are given in prologue of Siege of Darkness.)

I can't hate the characters.

Personally, to me I can't see how anyone can actually hate a fictional character mostly because hate to me equals "If I had a chance I'd kill them". However, I love the characters so that's almost as bad as hating them.

As for TDD, someone else answered it.
