I deal with passport stuff all the time in my work. It was announced Friday I think that the passport agencies will not be handling mail for a while (this came to me second hand). Anyway, you don't have much time; I would use a service because you aren't going anywhere without one.

I'd realized that this is the only way I CAN go at this point. I have to get it approved at the USPS, but then mail it to the Agency via FedEx Letter. So I guess that's the only way. I'll get the passport in 7 working days that way.
