Sir Denis watched the scene with concern. On one hand, he knows he shouldn't be peeking on other's secret, on the other hand, he is curious about this mysterious lady. She had reminded him of...

He stood up, with a stern face, walked to Lady Liliara, put his arm on her should and bent to her ear said

"Those who anger you, conquer you. I admire your strength"

Then he turned and walked to the door and left, Res followed behind him, leaving you privacy.

Egnias sat there, heartbeating fast. He had nearly pushed the woman over her limit, "that was close" he thought "now lets see what next"

Clearing his thought, he said: "well, are you scared? com'on, I am weaponless, AND tied, why don't you run me through with that blade of yours? hahaha, you want to kill me? for WHAT??!!"

The question struck you profoundly, yes, for what?

"remember who was the one brought all the deaths in Mountbourne!!!"

::Liliara's hand on the mug tightened, and she could feel the hot blood coming to her face. The mage's words were getting to her, and what was worse, he knew it. Sir Denis was right about anger. Magnus had tried to burn the lesson into her over and over. In all the time he spent training her, the only thing that he found unacceptable in her was her short temper. He had lectuered her on more than one occasion about this matter. Maybe now was a good time to put that lesson into effect.

She placed her mug down and forced herself to relax. To breathe deeply and tune out the mage. She looked ahead and regained her composure, and with it, her rational thoughts.::

Speak not of my past, mage! All you know is what the low lives that hired you on for the sake of entertainment have told you. ::she shakes her head mockingly:: tsk, tsk! Poor little bandit found he was in over his head too late. ::she laughs a little and sips again from her cup::

memories of Magnus resurfaced your mind, his kind words, gentle smile, and strict lectures, all the caring things he did. Your mother's beautiful face, warming smiles, her touchs, all the loving things she said...

Then it was replaced by two impaled corpse, bleeding. Magnus' last cry resounded loudly in your head, blood running freely from your mother's neck.

The mage moved his hands subtly behind his back. You didn't notice

::Liliara continues to look ahead, seemingly unruffled by the mage. In all truth, though, she DID feel guilty. She hadn't been able to help Magnus when he fell. Or her mother. All of that training and it had done no good for the people she loved.

She drew her thoughts together, concentrating on bluffing the mage, yring to keep him off balance by not giving in to his game::

I harbor no guilt, second rate carnival worker. The fault lies squarely upon the shoulders of the coward who relies on his puppets to do his foul deeds for him.

Egnias, somewhat frustrated, knew that he cannot get this woman off guard. At least not tonight, not with him, not in this rather foreign place, but he had to make a move.

"Whatever you say, my Lady. I am getting a little restless here, mind me have a drink...ackkk" He frowns, the pain still hurts him. You made no move. He sighed "Alright, forgive me for what I said. I have a proposal here, wanna hear about it?"

The mage said with a soft chuckle: " grow weary of my company? Indeed, so do I. My proposal is simple."

He stopped and looked at you sqaurely in the eyes and spat one word after another

"I tell you where the rest of assasins are, you let me go free, harm me no further. ON YOUR WORDS"
