If fighting is all you want choose a hack'n'slash that's advertised as roleplay: final fantsay (next year will probably end up with FF10,000 the way they keep churning dull, repetitive sequels out) Diablo II, Golden Sun, the list could go on. baldur's Gate I sucked. Baldur's Gate on the PS:2 is way too hack'n'slash. Baldur's Gate has charcter depth, interest, reply value, and was interesting. Plus, irenicus is just the most kick ass bad guy every where, c'mon! just so eeeeeevil. Plus, you go dragon slaying. What more could a girl want?
Oh, and you can send Anomen unarmed to a dragon. possibly the most rewarding experience of my life.

i'm sorry? it's one thing to attack the game, it's another to attack me personally. Can it, alright? And in case you were wondering, i'm talking about the "nag nag nag" line.

Kronostia, firstly, you provoke all the loyal BG II supporters out there by making a thread like this, then because you are frustrated that you can't get your point accross properly, you have to attack others (namely Kaltia) personally? If anything, you're the one doing the nagging by whining about the game so much. If you don't like it, what are you doing here? This thread is a bit of a waste of space, if you ask me.

If I was you, I'd apologise... that's if you're not too busy visiting the Black Isle and Bioware forums, giving them a hard time about the game they've put together.

Sure, the BG storyline is a bit unorignal. But Unoriginal doesn't equal boring. Most storylines today are unoriginal. Practically everything has been done to death, there are few original ideas left.

The fact of the matter is that someone has probably done it before.

I agree with what Arledrian said. (Sorry if you guys wanted this post to be closed!) Anyway, I believe that people can have their own opinions, but expressing them in an inflamatory way, in a place SPECIFICALLY DEVOTED to the particular thing is stupid and a waste. Why are you telling us that you don't like BG II? This is a BG II forum. (in case you hadn't noticed) and (I speak for myself here, but I think others would agree) I don't believe it is a prudent (or polite) thing to do to mouth off about BG II, as the people here LIKE it. It's as pointless as going to a cat forum and declaring that you hate cats. All it does is provoke annoyance.
