What qualities do/did your favourite actor/actress possess?

Hello...

My hidden agenda (well, it's not so hidden now, is it

) is to compile a list of actors/actresses who had some exemplary qualities and to watch some of their movies if I ever find the time.

I'll start off with my favourite actress, Audrey Hepburn.

Qualities:
Discreet, elegant, modest, hardworking, sincere.

Movies:
How to Steal A Million (my favourite), War and Peace, My Fair Lady, Funny Face, Roman Holiday, Sabrina, Wait Until Dark, A Nun's Story, Breakfast at Tiffany's.

My colleagues simply can't believe that a person my age (I'm in my 20s) even watches oldie movies. They just don't know what they're missing out on…

Plus she would have to be one of the best lookin chicks out there

Oh yeah and Mel Gibson for bringing us braveheart

Erm, when I said "qualities", I actually meant character-wise.

Gee.. this is a hard one... Let me think for a moment, and then I'll post my favorite actor/actress.. I think it'll be Sean Connery, for being the one and only James Bond!!

Didnt JLH play Audrey in the Audrey Hepburn film?

Yes, JLH did play Audrey Hepburn. The show didn't quite portray Audrey as what she should be, though - perhaps I was a bit influenced by the reviews as well

Well, I like the older movies, too, btw. Mostly John Wayne and Maureen O'hara movies, but also Oklahoma, Auntie Mame, South Pacific...

I have two favorite actors at this time. John Wayne and Sean Connery. I haven't seen a single movie with either one of them that I wasn't impressed with (except maybe Entrapment w/Connery). I know neither one was/is perfect in r/l, but John Wayne was always reported to be very nice and I know someone who has met 'Mr. Bond' and says he's a great guy.

As far as actresses...probably Sandra Bullock and Geena Davis. I don't know why exactly. Again, there's hardly a movie either one of them has made that I didn't like. Geena is a card-carrying member of Mensa which endears her to me. I'm a genius myself and, therefore, like to see us 'nerds' make good. She also, from what little I've heard of her personal life, seems to be a genuinely sincere and good person. I've recently learned that Ms. Bullock is taking a sabbatical from acting for marathon training. Her mother ran in marathons and it's something she wants to do, so she's doing it! I LOVE that attitude. Plus, she has said that she doesn't need a man in her life to define who she is and refuses to change who she is to please someone else. I admire that (so long as the way she is isn't bad).

Yes, DragonMage, that's what I was looking for! (it's almost a given that actors/actresses are charismatic good-lookers, so it's quite pointless talking about that)

I had no idea Geena Davis was so intelligent and "real" in person. Other than The Long Kiss Goodnight, I haven't watched her other films... will try to catch some soon.

Anyway, thanks for sharing that bit of information with me
