I guess it also depends on how far back you want to go.

Azmodeus and crew (devils and demons) were in the first Monster Manual and they were pretty kick ass.

Of course being stepped on by a Brachiosaurus was bad for the health as well.

The most powerful creature in BG? I would have to say me... "When death is bred into your bones..." failing that, it would have to be dragons. Oh yes, most definatly dragons... or... maybe one of these 'so-called' gods... hmm, I dont know, I never met any other then Cyric, and I didnt get a chance to 'smite' him...

oh i see bring up things i dont understand! well i guess ur saying what stumps the mother fudge out of your party i would have to say halfway thru a dungeon- no way back and a magically locked door that you have no key for suddenly appears out of nowhere! and you die in the halls! and what dragon could open a door for fudges sake it has no hands!
