I've had the Cloak of the Wolf for a while but haven't tried until now to use it. Could someone tell me exactly how it works? What is the duration of the polymorph? I wasn't able to switch back to human form except by resting. What are the effects of morphing into a wolf? I noticed a decrease in my AC and an increase in attack speed. Does anyone use this cloak? I think I might have Jaheira morph from time to time, just for kicks, but it would be nice to know how it works and if there is a way to morph back to human form.

I've used The Cloak of the wolf about four times....

And what I gathered is that you become human again after about a day (game time)

But can you de-equipt the cloak at the inventory page?

Hmm i really must try that!!

You can de-equip the cloak from the inventory but it doesn't change you back to human state.

From my experience, the morph lasts about 10 minutes real time. Its a pretty good item in the early stages of the game, as the wolf gets 18 dexterity/strength, giving weaker characters a good THACO/AC. It's less useful when you start getting magical weapons, and it becomes more or less obsolete by the time Jaheira gets her shapechange abilities, or your mages get the polymorph self spell.

To use any item that has a "Use Item" ability (Such as a Necklace of Missiles), select the character who's wearing that item, and at the bottom of the screen there's an icon that looks like a little pouch. Click it, and the icons of the items that can be Used appears.
I personally find the Cloak of the Wolf useless, except for kicks. It's kinda neat turning your whole party into wolves at the same time, especially going into stores and buying things.

"POLYMORPH SELF SPELL???" Umm.....that's ToSC, right? I know for damn sure it ain't in BG1.
