Four Seasons: Winter

Here comes snow
Freezes the fields
The enormous trees
Wind following its commands
And leaves fight to live

As winter comes
Snow falls
And in our hearts
Thoughts freeze
Emotion stops

Autumn softens the heart
Winter makes it sleep
Spring warms the long frozen feelings
And summer consumes the fire within
But now is the time to sleep...

Yup! I like this one too Bahamut! (especially the last paragraph)

Having abandoned my
search for truth, I am
now looking for a good
fantasy.

For R³ in thanks:
Sometimes I think I
understand everything,
then I regain consciousness.

Follwing the rules of the haiku:
5 syllables
7 syllables
5 syllables
Three lines.
Im not 100% but pretty sure that this is the way it goes.
I dont always follow the rules...poetic license or something like that.

No that cannot be... it is a haiku coz it IS a haiku due to those rules... there can be no such thing with well-known patterns and styles... some are very distinct and only links one author. Do that, and well... maybe we get toasted...

This song I think is really good, I like it alot:

Angel

She can draw angels from the sky. She is like lighting crashing. She was like clouds in motion. She took me through the mountains.

Its crumbling from my memory, now I have a reason to go back to sleep.

We rode the thunder, put flashes in the sky. We flew through the plains, sat at the waters edge. He hair was like a yellow sun. Glistened through the air.

She can draw angels from the sky. She is like lighting crashing. She was like clouds in motion. She took me through the mountains.

Whistling through the air, going through the fog of clouds. Walked through the cedar of the forest. Went through the air of the ocean.

She can draw angels from the sky. She is like lighting crashing. She was like clouds in motion. She took me through the mountains.

In a far away land we went. Snow capped mountains all about. Warm springs flow openly, as do we.

In a far away land, a voice calls me. I come too. She is gone.

------------------

So if in the forest look behind you, because that where the ranger is going to be

I've been away for a week and unable to log in for a week or two before that so this is why I haven't been posting.

Don't think I have posted this before - the lyrics to what I think is the best song I have ever written.

November
November and leaves glow like embers in colours of copper and rusty old nails.High in the sky white lines catch fire - sun touching far off jet trails. Far up above me the wild geese are flying,Ragged black arrows on an icy blue sky.Oh to go with them when I hear them cryingCalling to me to come fly, in November. The first Autumn frost have left a fine dusting of magic to cover the world.Morning sunlight makes pinpricks of bright shining diamonds, silvery pearls.Far up above me the wild geese are flying,Ragged black arrows on an icy blue sky.Oh to go with them when I hear them cryingCalling to me to come fly, in November. The world seems so still and a finger of chill is touching and tingling my face. The air is so clear that the bare bones of trees make a pattern of black Spanish lace.Far up above me the wild geese are flying,Ragged black arrows on an icy blue sky.Oh to go with them when I hear them cryingCalling to me to come fly, in November.Late afternoon I'll be going home soon. The sky's turning golden and green As the day dies the sun paints the sky in colours of roses and dreamsFar up above me the wild geese are flying,Ragged black arrows on an icy blue sky.Oh to go with them when I hear them cryingCalling to me to come fly, in November.

AFTER NOON

I sit
on this solitary patch of newly-cut grass
that tickles the bare skin of my thigh
making me itch all over.
I stare
at the trees off in the distance,
their leaves rustling
in that unspoken language
I wish I could understand.
I turn
to face the wind
that whips my hair into a tangled mess,
stinging my face, my eyes.
I smile
as tiny pellets fall from the sky,
refreshing the thirst of my soul.
I wonder,
for all the beauty in the world,
why God cries.

back from the dead
a resurrection
that slowly withers away
as i die
the stress of college life
weighing down on me
