It's a good, addictive game for a short while. It is strictly hack and slash. There are no riddles to solve and all your quests involve traveling around and killing lots and lots of enemies. I played it pretty hard for awhile, but then I wanted more to do than just kill stuff, but for ten bucks at Walmart, I'd say I definitely got my money's worth.

I forgot to add, it's buggy as hell though. You really have to work with it a bit to get it to play semi-decently.

Talin you can find rings that say Enemies Die On Sight. Usually though it only works on greyed out creatures, but it comes in handy because they just drop dead when you get near them.
I patched my game up and found no more bugs except for small things that didn't matter, i.e., in some towns a house may be missing, but the door is there. I can walk into the door too and go inside and all is fine, it's just the outside of the building apparently that doesn't appear, cept for the door of course. Kinda funny actually. ![]() |

I've got some items with 'die on sight' in them and most of the lower level enemies do just drop (no xp) as you walk by!
![]() The night thing is annoying with non-vampire characters but I'm guessing you might be able to lighten it up even if it can't be turned off- is there something in the game video options maybe?

I tried messing around with the gamma settings but found that there was no happy medium. What i thought to be a decent setting for night visibilty was ghastly during the day time and vice versa. In the end, i was manually changing the gamma twice a day (game time) during the twilight hours. Needless to say, that got a little old.
I'm 90% sure it was a graphics card related problem. I'm getting my new Oblivion system tomorrow so i might install Sacred in about 6 months time and find out for sure! ![]()

Also, unless you're a dwarf or something, horses of all stripes are fine for riding through monsters that aren't a challenge.
