Any reccomendations? I've played them all except Planescape (I'm looking for it though). I've tried Arcanum (beaten it) and Fallout (hated it). Anyone got any reccomendations?

Isometric top down RPG's is what you're after eh?
I'm not sure if you like turn based games or not, but if that was one of the reasons why you didn't like fallout (I can't imagine why anyone could hate this game, personally) then I can't see you liking Temple of Elemental Evil or Ruins of Myth Drannor which is quite a pitiful excuse for a game and an insult to the original SSI classic Pool of Radiance. There's also Lionheart, which conceptually is very interesting, using historical reference points and characters etc. I've not yet played it, but have read some tough reviews on it, especially the second half which is meant to be extremely combat heavy. Being BIS, its worth a look. I believe the divinity (Divine Divinity and Beyond Divinity games are isometric, but haven't actually played them. They're generally well received though. You could always try some classics: Ultima VII: The Black Gate (A Masterpiece, but hey, I'm an Ultima Dragon so I'm biased!) Ultima VII Part Two: Serpent's Isle (The same engine, with some inventory management improvements.) These two games in particular put the isometric heavy interaction style RPG on the map I think and you can definitely see their influence on the Infinity engine games. That'll do off the top of my head. Cheers, CerebroDragon

They ran out of money making Lionheart. The guy that made it says they needed another million dollars to finish it properly. I think the money problem was something to do with the demise of Interplay.

I have not seen the new Pools of Radiance, but the oldie has it's charm, though it more than any other game handed out far too powerful equipment (the level cap was 6 to 8 and you could find a +5 sword!). In the usual fashion the sequel solved that problem by having you mysteriously awaken without your equipment .
These games are definately NOT Inf Engine games, but if you are resilient to chunky VGA graphics they are worth playing. The later Dark Sun series is however isometric 3/4 top-down, but again not infinity engine in that they have turn based combat and you control the entire party together. The first one is a splendid game IMHO and worth playing. It is one of the unique games that does NOT give out super powerful equipment left and right, so you constantly have to make do. The sequel is a bit disappointing in comparison.
