Oh my god!
That beach hotel haunted house was the scariest thing I have ever seen. Stuff flying around. Im not going to spoil it because that part is worth the price of admission. Demonic voices. I didnt expect that. |

ugh, this ugly boss is *so* hard!!!
It seems to have a stupendous amount of hit points, the ability to make copies of itself, long range and short range attacks... After having used up 90% of my ammunition getting past her guards i just simple cannot handle her at all! and i cant seem to get out of this map unless i load a save from way earlier ![]() course ill still have to beat that map eventually...and ill end up with the same problems since before i went on the mission i had all of the ammo i could carry. I tried using the console to cheat but it seems to lock up the game.... grr this is depressing to make it so far and fail ![]() how did you beat her luvian? |

Bah, that's destroying all the fun. I'd rather throw the game in the trashcan than having to flee into Godmode. What's the challenge in that ?

I'm having some trouble in the sewers below downtown LA, with the creature responsible for the diseased homeless. First of all, when i enter his domain, i select my shotgun, but when the rumble starts, suddenly i'm standing there holding a friggin baseballbat, what's up with that ?
So what's the best way to kill that thing ? It kills me with just 4 or 5 hits with his bare hands, how do i keep it away from me ?

I am using another key, I personalise all the keys when I play. I like the atmos and the feel of this game, but since my Brujah moves around in knife fights accompinied by system default screams from the puter and the movement stutters sometimes make the fights near imnpossible. The garage in Downtown L.A for instance.. A good melee fighting Brujah all pumped up slicing its way through gangsters like a scythe through ripe weat.. oh wait, I have to get stuck in this wall and then move to the right several meters before I can change direction yeah... I mean NOOOOO! I don't demand much of the fighting system, but a bit more smooth and that they get rid of the stuttering cause it has gotten me killed more times then ny scary monsters or shotguns! IF they could fix the bugs and the stuttering and locking up of the movement, this game would be superb cause the feel, interaction and possiblities are great!

There's a stuttering bug in half life 2, too. I saw a post from an hl2 dev saying that it was because instead of loading all the texture when you enter a zone, the game wait until you "see" the texture, or such. That's what's causing the lag in the engine.
It's more obvious in Vampire because it has lots more things going on. Too much rpg script and ai, and other such things. For example I don't know if you ever tried moding NWN, but "onheartbeat" scripts really take lots of resources. I was having that problem too at first, but then I doubled my page file and it worked perfectly. I've suggested this solution to other people and after testing this they all agreed it was the perfect solution, and that I was a genius. johnny, yes he's hard, my toreador had a hard time, but here again celerity saved my life. What clan are you using? Use your powers. If you have celerity it's going to make you the best gunner ever. If you have a ranged power you can use it to target the guy. He's invisible, but you'll still get the target thing over his head and you can get the first hit on him that way. I got him with my last sliver of health. One more hit and I was dead. Do you have bloodpack? Drinking one can heal you a little. Also, if you open your inventory screen it pause the game, so you can go there to equip your weapon. I could give you better advices if I knew what was your clan.

I'm Brujah, and i nailed the sucker already.
![]() Bit of a cheesy way, but it's the result that matters. I ran away until i had some distance between me and him, turned around and fired a round with my shotgun, ran away, turned around, fired one more round, etc..... Took me somewhat 10 minutes that way, but i couldn't think of anything else. Ah well... whatever gets the job done. But i could really use some better weapons now, the firearms i have are okay, but i don't wanna keep buying ammo for them, it's bleeding me dry. Not to mention the meleeweapons. I know there are swords somewhere, but i'm still using an iron bar and a baseballbat, and both weapons aren't cutting it anymore for me. I need heavier stuff, but where do i go ? It's going to take a long while before you get good melee weapon, but for 75% of the game I used a knife as my melee weapon, and it worked really well for me.
It's fast, so it compensate. Speed is very important in this game. If you hit first you can prevent your ennemy from attacking you. What power do Brujah get in the game? In pen and paper, they get celerity and potence. That's probably the most powerfull duo ever. With celerity you get to attack a few time and move away before your ennemy can react. Potence is powerfull, it does no matter what weapon you are using, it's going to be more powerfull than any weapon a non potence vampire will ever get. |
