Bioware has announced a new game, not the known Jade Empire, but a whole new one called "Dragon Age". Supposedly, "Dragon Age" has a whole new ruleset (not DnD or something) and a whole new fantasy world setting (NO Forgotten Realms, Dragonlance) to play in. Also, the game will have a Baldur's Gate-like top vision, as well as a Knights of the Old Republic-like Third Person view. Sounds good to me, and the screens look nice as well.

Too bad there's not much news about the game yet, but I'm sure that the E3 will bring us some more information on this new RPG.

After sampling some of the newest RPG's out I am really hesistant to get back into buggy Bioware games. It looks like the same engine as NWN's though.

The Bioware spinoff to look for in the near future is Jade Empire.

Jade Empire is XBox only, but they're working on KotOR 2 on both XBox and PC.

As for Dragon Age, there's another thread here that gives some more info.

Not sure about Dargon Age but I was eager for Jade Empire until they announced that it was being developed for Xbox only. Anyway, if it is successful, I am sure that Bioware would release a PC version later, like what they did with KoTOR.

well, xbox only releases are how bioware can afford to fund their new projects, esp their IP, Dragon Age. xbox games take much less development & testing time, so overall they can slam one out in a couple of years as opposed to 4 or 5 years for a pc game.

i'm very happy they are going to a brand new engine and tossing away the tilesets. seems the designers disliked those as much as the players. it'll be great to see the gorgeous handpainted backgrounds again.

i just hope that they can get their DD (digital distribution) system set up by the time Dragon Age is released. it'll be great to get expansions, new content, updates and patches continuously as in NWN model.
