I bought it last nite and played it all night. I like the game - it's like HOMM, which I liked.
Currently, I'm playing the Empire , and I finished their first level of their campaign...

Anyone else play this or know this game?

I've played Disciples 2: The Dark Prophecy. Quite nice. Would you recommend me to shell out the money for RotE?

I'm new to the game...but u get a new race to play. (The Elven Alliance)

It's a standalone expansion to Disciples II btw - means it has the original as well as the expansion.

Dang, why do I dream of...ahhhh, "dating" - yes, that will do, "dating" the Elf lady in the cover...

*Gets blasted to kingdom come by her*

RotE made several balance changes from the original DP. It is well worth the investment. The Disciples series is one of the greatest unknown gems in the game world. Hehe... currently involved in a project to convert the Disciples:Sacred Lands sagas into a Disciples 2ark Prophecy version.

I was addicted to this game for like 100 hours. I played them all

However no, I dont recomend spending a lot for the expansion. I has one extra campaign which is excellent quality.... the orignal game came with 4, so youre not getting much for your money if you already have the first game.

It has another race, the elves, which is just plain better than the other four what can i say lol. You will need it to play a lot of the user made modules though.

The game is very simple, almost tic tac toe simple... but its really addictive and teh graphic art is outstanding.

The Dark Prophecy? Just buff up with all of the potions you got (on your hero), and be prepared to reload a lot of times. All of your guys should have hit their last evolution stage, and my Hero was level 7 or maybe a bit more.

If you think the Capital Guardian is tough, wait till you meet some of the End-Game bosses.

Taking out the Captial Guardians is as easy as pie. Different races call for different tactics of course.

The Empire can use the Prophetess in conjunction with high armour(potions, spells, banner). Dead simple.

The Legions of the Damned have the Incubus. Besides the mandatory armour, give the Incubus potions that increase his chance to hit until it hits 100%.

Mountain Clans have high HP, ungodly damage and Frostbite from the Son of Ymir.

The Undead Hordes have the Shade.

General guidelines,

1) Strive to give 90 armour to all your party members.

2) Try to hit the damage cap.

3) Use Poison, Blister and Frostbite abilities.

4) Use Paralyse and/or Petrify when possible. This includes artifacts.

Have fun.

Warning: Capital Guardians give 8000XP, so try not to waste it.

Some races it is very easy, such as undead, some it is very hard.

The easy way is effects like paralyze. Hit the gaurdian with an army with 2 paralyze creatures adn boost their iniative to go first. You can take it out on level 1 actually this way with undead.
paralyze it before it attacks saves a whole lot of pain.... otherwise, lots of armor and healing can work as well.

Each race has a different level where they can take on the gaurdian. Eventually, any race when its tough enough can just take it out toe to toe. Boom boom boom dead.

As I recall, dwarves might have a hell of a large problem with them.
