So what do you think is the better romance???

the best romance really depends on what your character concept is. if you're a goody-goody-two-shoes paladin, Aerie is your best choice. if you serve order and balance, or you like nature a lot, pick Jaheira. if you're one mean mofo, pick Viconia. (you'll greatly appreciate her presence in the party if you're like that)

The Aerie romance is kinda weak, and you have to baby her a lot.
The Jaheira romance takes FOREVER, and requires a lot of special events to occur before it progresses.
The Viconia romance is fun, but usually doesn't end well.

my only character so far is a chick, so i have that paladin Amoen hittin on me. next time ill be a man and have the ladies hit on me. If i knew this romance stuff was in the game, i would have been a male the first game

I'd have to go with Sir Exxon. personaly I like the Jaheria romance the best. I don't know exactly why, but I don't play as an evil person often, (if at all) and I find Aeire to be too annoying and whiny. (well sometimes at least.) and that leaves Jaheira.

IMHO it dosent matter about your alignment. (with Aeire and Jaheria anyway.) I almost always play chatoic good, more often a Cavalier tho, and I romance Jahera anyway. Hey what are ya gonna do? I'm odd, so what?

bulletsponge, Anomen is a cleric, not a paladin. Don't worry, it's nothing big and I know that you are new, I just thought I would point that out.

My experience has been best with the Aerie romance, childish though it is. Jaheira's romance/Harper plot is so full of bugs that I've NEVER finshed either one of them, (Can you kick them back into gear with the CLUA Console, or does it require Shadowkeeper?) and the Viconia romance has the HUGE problem of [SPOILER]

If the romance is going well, Viconia will essentially demand to leave the party. She will stay if you insist upon it, but that will END the romance, even through ToB (I'f I'm wrong here, someone please correct me). In my Evil game, her timing couldn't have been worse--she abandoned me mere seconds before we were to take out Firkraag. Thanks, Vicky. I had to Shadowkeeper a fake Viconia to match the stats and EXP of the real one, so I wouldn't have to finish the game with a crippled party. Now I can't play ToB with that party until I find a version of Shadowkeeper that works with ToB, so I can hack the real Viconia to the EXP of the fake one.

EDIT: i forgot to put my favorite romance: its arie's, because its the easiest....im not a very romantic guy

Personally I am very disappointed with the lack of quality males (as far as romance goes) in the game. I plan to play the game through as a male some time just so I can see how these romances work. I do believe that Jaheira would be the one that I would pick. (I assume you can't have anyone other than Aerie, Jaheira or Viconia?)
