I lost my cd key for this game. I bought it from a local trusted store, so I can guarantee you that my RA2 game is not a pirated game. Anyone has an idea of how can I get my cd key back? Man! I hate it when you need a cd key to be able to install your game.

Megabot, that's illegal, and you know it. I suggest you quickly edit your post.
Baron Night, contact the game's tech support. Let them know your game's serial number, the rest should be elementary for them. |

I've you've just uninstalled the game earlier, maybe the CDKEY is still in your INI file on the HD.

Tech support, people. Tech support. There are times when calling the tech support is actually worth the hassle and fee.

didn't think they'd support that kind of thing. thought they'd be "too bad, so sad. buy a new one. give us more money"

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. But with multiplayer heavy games like D2, getting someone elses key would just get both players locked out. Modern game key systems are very secure.
But since it is negligent of Blizzard to print the key in ink that can be smudged, they may be willing to give you a new one.
