I'm currently waiting for Mouse to post the link to the Darkstone Soundtrack.

I loved the pleasure planet music in privateer, morrowind music, music in monkey island 2, the magic carpet music in Ultima 7... and the elevator music in system shock

Anyone remember the theme from Flimbos Quest on the C64. That was way cool. I am humming it now and it has been at least 15 years since I heard that. Also, theme from Narc.I especially like it seeing as frank black did a cover of it with the pixies a while ago. Anyone else no anymore bands who did covers of games themes?

best, game music ay, for nostalgic reasons and utter coolness i would have to say the music from the megadrives Sonic games and StreetFighter II, also FF8 had grrreat music, very dramatic, also Golden Sun+Lost Age both have excellent soundtracks, the quality is suuupyyerb.

Thats all i can really remember, oh and Ocarina of Time, songs like "Bolero of Fire" and "Serenade of Water" really added to the game

One need not look further than the C64 SID remix scene which is taking quite a hold in Britain and Europe. There is also a great Danish cover band called "Press Play On Tape" who's cd I have, with fantastic real instrument remixes of wonderful C64 games. Fans or readers of the forums at lemon64 would know all about this!

www.C64audio.com is a great place to start a nostalgia trip of a lifetime!

Reyn Ouwehand did the original Flimbo's quest which is quite cool, so breadbin (great name!) I'd reccomend you take a look at remix.kwed.org if you're after a remix of it!

I won't blather any more, only to say long live the C64 and the sounds of SID!
