This game seems to freeze up when played on Windows XP, but I have never had any problems with this game on any other platform.
Anybody else had this problem before? Any idea how I can get around it?

I'm not sure.
If it is a driver prob, how would I go about fixing it?

Download the latest drivers for your graphicscard. You'll never know if you don't try.
It shouldn't be a problem to run the game on XP, i have the first two versions, and both run fine on XP, so number three shouldn't be a problem either.
