Absolutely! BT1 came out in 1985 for C64 and immediately won "Game of the Year"; they adapted it for IBM to cash in on that market.

BT2 was pretty cheesy. Those "death snares" would kill your whole party if you didn't complete them in a certain amount of time. Game over.

BT3 was excellent! Trying to map Malefia was a roayl pain, though.

It's entirely possible that BT-1 was part of my reason to get a second computer when that game was new. IBM's awful "CGA" graphics was appallingly bad for any graphics, although Hercules' MGC was decent (I played Star Flight in green on black). My first desktop was an IBM, in 1983. The C64 was acquired later, perhaps as late as 1985 (money was hard to come by then, and the IBM cost so much I had to finance it in installments).

The C64 was a complete setup, slightly used, and included a Hayes modem with a list price back then higher than I paid for everything. My first modem, only "300 baud". That was the beginning of my addiction to the online world (FIDO was starting up about that time).

Can someone help me with the Krynn games, how do you get them to work? I finally fixed the problem with the savegames and then it asked a "protection question" but no matter how right I answered (from the manual) it wouldn't start... has anyone been able to run them in their "abandoend form"?

Do you mean the old gold-box games Champions of Krynn, Death Knights of Krynn, and Queen of Darkness?

I've got them but haven't installed them. I'll take a look this evening and see what I can find; I might even still have a manual for them, buried in some box. I think I know where, but I'll have to check later today.

Now where did I put that Solamnic Plate?

I have, can I ask where you got them from? if you used Azred's link to Freeoldies and then downloaded from clasic trash I noticed the manuals are a bit wrong there, they seem to be a marked up a page wrong If it asks you to find somthing on page 10 then it will be on page 9 and so on
