I desided I wanted to get the tower Mod so I could have a place I could quick travel to without running all the way to the middle of town just to pick up or drop off my treasures. Its a pretty good Mod for a $1.89. In the basement or as they have named it "The Vault" they have placed about a dozen Trunks and treasure chests to put most of your captured Weapons and Armor. On the main floor there is both an Enchanting station and a Spellmaking Station useable by any type character or class without having to belong to the Mage Guild. You will have to go into the Market District of the Imperial city to a place called Mystic Emporium and talk to Aurelinmae but there is no dialog just click on the buy sell icon after she says hello. Then its going to cost you from $4,000--$8,000 Gold to get all the stuff to
furnish the tower which I thought was a bit crappy so I used the console code to get $6,000.00 septems to pay for the stuff use the following code if you feel you paid enough in just buying the mod:

hit ~ tild to open the console then type;

player.additem 00000F 6000

This will give you $6000 septems to pay for the furniture for the Tower. If your Mercantile skill in still very low these furnishings could cost over $15,000 septems so instead of 6000 put in 15000 to cover the difference.

It does sound good, but I have installed Ultimate House and a Wizard Tower for free - they both seem to fulfill roughly the same functions (although are still in need of polish). The Wizard Hovel also has a nice regenerating cupboard of alchemical supplies.

Does this tower offer anything over and above the free versions or is it just more polished?

I'm still not going to pay for that mod, or any mods for that matter. I've seen it available for free at least three times since last night, but for now i'm not interested in anything since i already finished the game and i'm doing something else at the moment, but when the moment comes when i'm ready to play another round, i'm definitely not going to pay for any game enhancements. I've already paid more than enough for the game itself, and i refuse to fill their pockets any further for stuff that should have been for free in the first place.

Yeah the tower is fun, but again, the way they implemented it is dead wrong.

For starters, you get a DEED right from the friggin start, HOW did it get to you and HOW did the original owner know you? WHY is there no quest? WHY are there no dialog lines? Absolutely nothing!

Still the tower itself is fine.

Yeah, like I'm going to pay for the kind of mod I can find tons of for free.

Housing mods are the most popular, and I've also seen tons of mods for Spellmaking stations and such.

well considering a hotdog and a coke is $2.50 I figure a $1.98 Isn't much. I like the fact that I can go to the top of the tower and see the Imperial city with the Kings tower below me 2 miles away. Now the only thing I need to add to it is a stable for my horses and figure out a way to not have 7 horses follow me to every city I go to.

I also like the indoor Botanical garden with 130 different specimens that can be harvested once a day. Also in this garden are some plants from morrowind that can't be found anywhere else in Cyrodiil.
Next you'll find Teleport stations to every Mage Guild in every city.

For those of you that don't want to join the Mage Guild and still have the ability to enchant weapons and make your own personal spells it also has fully functial Enchanting and Spellmaking stations to make any powerful weapon you can dream up and the power in your own Attributes is all that dictates how powerful the Items will be as well as what you can catch in a soul stone to use to enchant them.

Then there is the Atronach Alter. With this alter and the three salts from any of the Atronach creatures you have killed Frost, Flame, or Storm and you can summon them to fight at your side.

It also adds a new spell and recharge vender in the Imperial City.

Then last there is a alchemist Apparatus table to help make some real powerful brews to help you in your travels. so far I have made and sold 140,000 septems worth of potions and some really kick ass Poisen I use on my arrows and swords. My favorite I call Kill qiuck because first it stuns with 50 shock Damage every 6 seconds for 70 seconds and so far It only takes one arrow to bring down a Daedroth and two more to kill it.

But for those of you that don't want to buy the Mods then make your own Tower as for me I'm having fun with this game and the Offical plugins.
After I read johnnys Rant I went ahead and bought the other two and think I'll buy everyone they come out with simply because I can and then I can listen to johnny wine about the fact someone is making money for a game they spent 4 years building and he was expecting to get the extras for free and then didn't.

But CB, why would we buy a hotdog and coke if we can get it to for free . It's not that people are whining and it's not like we don't have the money but getting the same or better for free rather than buying it is a no-brainer isn't it? You yourself always argued about free play in MMO's like GW versus paid play in WoW, now you switched sides, you turncoat you!

It's a wrong argument anyway, a coke and a hotdog are incomparable with a mod that's onetime made and thousandtimes sold. The cost of making the coke have to be on the price of that one coke while the cost of the mod can be distributed across thousands of mods.

So, I'm NOT paying some fancy programmer for doing far less work than a cokemakerman. 8)

If a bunch of nerds came up to you and offered you a free coke and hotdog that they made themselves, would you eat/drink it??

Heheh, don't worry, I am against this aswell, from what I hear, they have had these add-ons ready since the games release and were just going to see if teh horse armor mod worked well with the public, and although there was outrage, they still sold...
Yes. There is always the hardcore who will buy into this. Many don't realise that A) you can get these yourself for free online and B) you can make these yourself!
