I am still having issues launching Morrowind. I have re-installed the GoTY edition and still an error involving morrowind.exe occurs. I have done everything suggested and still it won't work. What am I missing? I have played the game on my computer before. Can anyone help? Am I doomed to not play?

Hm.. did you try using a NoCd? Using one is only illegal if you don't own the game. If that doesn't work.. Google your error message, often works for me.

Remove everything and completely delete your morrowind file then empty your delete file and reload the game and start fresh with a completely new install and all new files.
I know this is drastic but it may be the only thing you can do. OR take the morrowind save game files and data file and copy them and place them in a new file and if you have any Mods place then there too call the file MW back up and remove it from the morrowind files and set it on its own in your "C" drive. Then uninstall the game and the file morrowind is in. Make sure you remove everything except the MW back up file you made.
Now reinstall a fresh copy of morrowind and patch it and start a new game.
Afterward save the game and turn it off then open the morrowind file and remove the new data files and the new save game file and place them in a new folder and name it MAIN BACKUP. Next open the mw back up file and cut and paste the original save game file and Data file into the morrowind files.
close the morrowind file and start a game if this works play your old game if not you will know that these two files were defective in some way and you can delete them and replace the with the two files you placed in your MAIN BACKUP and continue on with your new game.
This is about the only thing I can think of to maybe bring your old save games back to life.
GOOD LUCK TCB
