just bought the game last week for $10 @ Wal-Mart i got about 10 hrs
into it. I at level 3 (took for ever to get to level 2) I'm a redgaurd, crusader sign The Lady. i think I'm doing ok. i've joined the fighters Guild and am up to retrieving the codebook task. Meet the naked guy who says a witch stole everything including his Axe. well he died in a fight, i hope he was not important. I could not find the witch in the direction he said she was. took a trader to a city on the coast and in caves south of there is where my buddy bit the big one. The cave was loadedwith stuff I'm having trouble selling all of it as the merchants run out of money. how good is the game about working around busted quest? I've roamed a bit and raided a few places. what if I kill someone early? enough for now. PS dont bitch about spelling i know I'm bad. |

The naked guy is expendable, that wasn't an important quest. If you kill anybody important, the game will pop up a message warning you that you should load your last saved game (although you don't have to, there's loads to do in Morrowind outside the main quest).
In Caldera, the city next to where you found the naked Nord, there's a building called Ghorak Manor. On the first floor there's a scamp merchant with 5000 gold And by the way, your only spelling error was "redgaurd", which looks like a typo anyway ![]() Welcome to Morrowind! Merchans "restock" their cash if you rest or wait 24 hours. You can wait for 24 hours in front of the merchants, if you like.
Morrowind is the kind of game where you can ruin quests by accidently, or intentionally, killing important characters. As far as I know, you get a message if you kill any essential characters for the main quest but it's certainly possible to ruin faction quest by going on a killing spree. A good advice that will get you far is this: Don't kill anyone who isn't attacking you first. There are many exceptions to this rule, but unless you've played the game once, you don't really know who's safe to kill and who isn't.

Bah. kill away, if that's your thing. Whilst many of the people you run through are important, it's not worth being paranoid about ruining a quest you haven't started yet. Especially if you're playing as an evil dude.
And you can always use the console to respawn them at a later date if the need arises.

It's not the "console", it's the Will of the Tribunal!
