Just wondering, has anyone ever tried this method of playing the game? Im doing it now and its very rewarding, besides only having to worry about 1 person battles are quicker and simplier.

I used an Elf Ranger by the name of Aragain Leafstalker. Hes currently level 7 and just finished the 1st Chapter, all by hiself! Although it took 29 days to so, ive saved, Drizzt from gnolls, returned Brage to the town, punched out Noober, killed COUNTLESS Sirens(2k exp each), and my favorite, showed the frigin Basilisks what its like to press LOAD every time you die, yup I soloed them too.

Of course i twinked myself! But only a little, I set my base hp to 50 to give me a little chance in the world, 500 gold pieces, and Boots of Speed so i could RUN when i needed to. Besides that im all legally alive.

Ive played the game over and over with TOTSC, DSOTSC, and Regular BG itself, but never have I had so much fun! And all that loot i get, I dont need to waste on my party, i can sell... And becuase of that I have over 100,000 GP From selling everything ive found and didnt need.

But anyway, i just wanted to know if anyone else has tried this and what they thought, im going to do it again after i finish with a theif so i dont hit by so many dam traps, or when i get BG2 with my same ranger.

You can't claim to have done the game at all if you cheated...

No it isnt that hard to cheat, have i cheated? YES! Did i cheat the first time i played the game, HELL NO!

Anyway you guys are stuck using CLUAConsole:CreateItem etc., etc. Im making full sets of Deepwood Armor and Diamond Swords with Trueshot Longbows.

Every set of Deepwood armor has different kind of resist (i.e. Deepwood Helm, Elec Resist). Diamond Swords are unbreakable, and glow in the dark with a shit load of damage since they are, well diamond. Trueshot Longbows are relatively fast VERY LONG ranged bows with acceptional damage.

Of course ive made and used all that crap, but this time im stuck with crap like Elven Mail, and Orthancs Fang Scimitar(From Dark Side of the Sword Coast). Actually that stuff is pretty cool, just not "uber cool" like Deepwood Armor =P

There are many players who have so called "cheated" and still have played the game. Its your game, its your computer, its your time, so play as you like.

You can't brag about beating a game, solo or not, when you cheat...

And the only way i cheated in this was raising my base HP to 50. Ya see with Dark Side of the Sword Coast theres a whole lot more stuff. And now rangers have some special stuff like Cloak of the Forest, Bracers of the Wood, and Boots of the Forest. Ive also found Crystal Plate and Ebon Plate in addition to a Dwarven War Axe +5 in Gullykin.

Right now i have... if i can remember, Long Bow of Strength(off Shadow Druid), Cloak of the Forest(From a chest in the "hunters house"), Bracers of the Wood(from some psycho guy claiming i killed his friends), Ring of Missle Protection(of the Crystal Plate guy) a Sun Shield(from under the Firewine Bridge, dungeon), Sun Blade(opposed to moonblade of some huge Orc near basilisks)... errrr...

So anyway, if i find out how to change *.bmp files to *.jpg files, without Photoshop, ill put the images up on a website for you all to view. Or you could just go get Dark Side of the Sword Coast yourself...

http://www.dsotsc.com

I suggest playing TOTSC and Reg BG before playing DSOTSC, but the decision is yours...

Big deal. Try soloing successfully with an Elven Thief/Mage or Fighter/Thief w/o cheating. I left Candlekeep with my thief/mage with over 300 gold, 3 potions of healing, 3 spells, a +1 Dagger, 200+ experience points and and a potion of Clarity. By the time I got to Nashkel I was level 4/2 respectively with a ring of proetections +1, cloak of charms, ring of wizardry, girdle of piercing, boots of stealth, 2000+ gold, 3 potions of healing, a wand of lightning, and a 3 potions of defense. Sure, I had only about 6 kills (had to pick pocket all my quest items and put to sleep or charm all my assassins, but still) Tip for anyone who plans on soloing - you need a thief!! Fighting your way through anything will get you killed as a soloist. Thief/mages will work nicely as the spell support with invisibility, charm person and sleep will work wonders. A fighter/thief provides some brawn for situations were your stealth fails (but they miss out on very imortant magic items such as wand of lightning) and generally advances fast enough to keep up with the game, but has no real advantage otherwise. A straight thief or thief/ceric also works wonderfully. Sanctuary is easily one of the best spells out there for a thief and having those extra hit-points really comes in handy.
