I haven't found Umbra, but I heard he's really hard to beat without ranged attacks.

Run around the countryside and look for areas that appear to be crumbled red cities. There's one door somewhere in each one of these. Go in. There's usually a couple bandits and a shrine. Save before taking anything off the shrine.

If you need a location, I know there's one between balmora and ghostgate. Go past the fort into the path between the mountains and head north. You'll find it eventually. Watch out for Atronachs!

Also, there's an "edit/delete" button at the top of posts. click it if you want to add something onto a post.

From the "tombs" topic:

ruins are everywhere.

for some easy dwemer ruins, try going from balmora to the fort, pass the fort on the left side and go up the hill behind it. cross the bridge and head towards the right. you'll see a big spherical entrance. in order to get in you must turn the crank located nearby.

for some daedric ruins, there are two located across either mountain range from caldera. just head out of one of the gates, turn and face the mountains, and find a way to climb/fly over them, then look around there and you'll find the ruins. there are also some just south/south west of suran (also accross a mountain range). the easiest way to access those without climbing or flying is to go out the west gate (by the temple) and go past the mountains. then turn south and stay near the mountains. you'll find a tomb and some daedric ruins.

for dunmer strongholds, you'll have to ask someone else, i always just stumbled accross them on accident.
If you still have the cloth map that came with the game, the strongholds are on it, I think.

If you've killed Umbra without ranged attacks, you are more than experienced enough.
