I like it how if you're wearing good quality stuff, people comment on it and I think they like you a little bit better. And how you can wear clothes, armour, and robe all at once! Though how my chick manages to get around in her shirt and pants, full armour, and big bulky robe is beyond me!

I think Pro is right that the more affectionate merchants expect you to cut 'em a better deal.
As to not going to Caldera often, why not? If you set your single [unmodded] mark in the balmora mage guild, you can walk over to the teleport babe, be in caldera instantly. Definetly worth it in the early going when cash flow is an issue. Later on, the whole practice of selling stuff gets pretty tedious and pointless. As to NPCs complimenting your clothing, it's more flattering to me when they say 'Impressive' etc when my character is functionally naked-- a ring counts as clothes, the brown fur diaper doesn't. Proof, I think that the developers intended true nudity to be an option in this game as it was in Daggerfall, but probably chickened out due to parental rating fears... Oru |
