Is it worth becoming one? From what i understand being a werewolf doesn't bring many advantages (the fact u can only use claws instead of armor,etc)-attribute bonus isn't worth it, but i don't know about vampire. It would take a long time to test, so if you can tell me if it's worth it i would appreciate it.

It's not worth to become a werewolf imo, people will attack you, and if you happen to turn into a werewolf in front of everybody, you are mark for death for the rest of your life. plus your vision is a bit lessen, when you run or walk you have this panting like a dog. Also your ac is too little. you get kill very easily.

Vampire? good only to get a certain artifact imo, once you are a vampire and talk to people, you are mark for death, you can't use silt strider or boat ride, you have to do everything by foot. you'll gain constant damage during daylight under the sun. However, you gain extreme stats bonus while in vampire form.

no, if you become a vampire you cannot talk to most of the people or else you are mark for death. which mean any quest that you have with any great house must be put on hold when you become a vampire.

im not playing bloodmoon yet, but when i do im going to save right at the beginning of the werewolf quests and then play it out both ways from there. that allows maximum missions (since the main mission splits at that point). the only time you become marked for death is if you are seen while in transformation. you do get a HUGE hand to hand bonus, and you also get a great unarmored bonus when you turn into wolfy. its worth saving at the pivitol moment and playing out both ways, imo.

As a vampire you get huge bonuses. i suggest you read a walkthrough on vampirism before going for it though, and go for a vampiric great house, as it will open more quests for you. to get rid of the weakness to sun, wear an item which constant effect restores your health. also, if your sneak is high enough to get past everyone else, you can still talk to most members of the mages guild and the house telvanni to get vampiric quests from them.

oh, and btw, vampirism can be cured following the procedure detailed in vampirism in vvardenfell Pt II, available in jobasha's rare books. the cure method can also be found on most walkthroughs. thus you should try to become a vampire to complete the ten bonus quests, then cure yourself to go back to the main game.

also, instead of walking, if you have gotten the master propylion index, you can use the propylion chambers to rapid transport around the map.

Artifacts that you can gain from being a vampire? It's called Elton Brand. The best non expansion single handed long sword.

hey kakero, hate to ask for a major spoiler, but...

where do you get eltonbrand? is it a reward for a quest, or do you pick it up along the way? do you HAVE to become a vampire to get it, or can you just go and pick it up as a normal being?
