After the fun and frolics of Morrowind, I wasn't expected to be so unimpressed with Tribunal. But I was very disappointed. The city is pretty, and I do like the rich shopkeepers. The miscellaneous quests were diverting. LOL the play thing was fun - the first time I did it I thought they were attacking me because I got so many lines wrong and reloaded . (What was with the ebony armour guy though in the temple area? Man he was really really tough to kill! What happens if you give him all the money he wants btw?)

However the sewer missions are (haven't finished) very irritating. I find the goblins totally annoying. They're totally killable, but in that annoying way that anything tougher than the plain old goblins (like the bruisers and handlers) causes a reasonable amount of damage on me so I'm constantly taking potions or healing which is expensive/time-consuming. I think that if there's going to be enemies, they either should be so easy that you don't get a scratch, or tough in that you have a varied array of different enemies that you need different tactics for each and need to use special equipment and such - so it's a challenge not a drudge. For instance, I found the battles with Dagoth Ur personally satisfying, because they were tough in a way where I wasn't sure I was going to make it and had to use that special stuff I found along the way (heart ring and such). The goblins are not like that - I know I'm going to get through it but not without taking lots of damage - it's just all so samey. Like, I go through the sewers, and I reached the old Mournhold - you know the Hall and such. And I was excited - ooh new monsters and cool treasure! Nope - more goblins

Blah. Started a new game instead

I didn't quite like tribunal too because of the following: ( May Contain Spoiler )

first thing if you look at your world map you are still in ebonheart.
second if you press TCL and go over the walls in Morunhold, you'll find nothing on the orther side.
third Mournhold and it's dungeon is nothing but " Big but Emtpy " thing. yes, the place was huge but there was nothing in it,ie no secret treasure no hidden loots like that.
fourth, How the heck can those dwemer robots move outside Vyanderfell? I read a book or paper somewhere in Morrowind that those robots will shut down if too far away from Vyanderfell.
fifth, the talking dwemer ghost didn't add much to say about the dissapearence of the dwarf. which really annoy me since I really want to know what really happened to the drawf.

hmm..I don't think I'll start a new game. I can't imagine I'll have to go through all those thousands of quests again.

LOL - well in my game I didn't do a lot of stuff - I'm going to join a different House (since I don't have the join all houses mod), going to join the thieves guild, do all the morag tong quests and become king pin of the mages guild. Plus I'm going to be a mage sidelining in thief - I was a knight before and pretty much bashed everything - this time I'm going to use magic and sneak about and such

Yeah I found that 'no new map area' annoying too! Why couldn't they just stick Mournhold on some island in the middle of nowhere or something?

I can't say that I'm disappointed with Tribunal, but I agree that it would have been nice if it was located on an island instead of "hoovering" over Ebonheart. On the other hand, being the capitol of Morrowind, it make sense that it's build on the main land.

Yes, the goblins are annoying. They hit extremely hard but are also rather easy to kill with 1 or 2 shots if your marksman skill is good.
The liches are very good magic users and demands a totally different approach than the goblins.
The improved dwemer bots and especially the Black Dart Gang are also good challenges.

The main plot is pretty good in my opinion, pointing out the differences (hate) between the Empire and the Temple.

The Adamantium armor is a good (and needed)improvement to med. armor, but it's to hard to find and there's not enough ore to produce a whole set. Maybe I've missed some, but I've only managed to find around 10 pieces (don't know if it respawns though). And why did they make it so damn heavy. It's heavyer than ebony, yet lighter when manufactured. It doesn't make sense.

I think it has some faults but it's mostly a good addition to the game.

And while we're in Mournhold, I have a question. I can seem to initiate the Crimson Plague quest. It's my understandng that by asking Mehra outside the Temple about rumors something about a rat plague should come up and the quest would start, but nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

you must do this quest before the attack on the Mournhold. talk to Mehra outside the temple, then go inside the temple and into Hall of Ministry and talk to Nerile Anderen to start the quest.

As far as Adamantiun Ore there is a grand total of 20 rocks in the game.
4-Old Mournhold in the Armory ruins.
3-Old Mournhold in the Temple Catacombs.
9-Old Mournhold in the Temple Crypt.
4-at Norenen-dur the teeth that Gnash, Reached through Bamz-Amschend, Passage of the Walker.
I went back to most of these places and none of the Ore ever has Respawned. so the only way to get any more Ore is to use the Consol command. I haven't looked for the ID code for Adamantiun yet because, I just bought the Armor it's faster than having it made. If you really want the code just look in the TES construction kit the Codes for everything in the game are in there.
Remember Tribunal was made for high level Characters! I went threw the whole Goblin Army like a hot knife threw butter. I'm at level 72 now and nothing in Tribunal was that hard but I had alot of fun.

The Wood Elf Gaenor that keeps asking for more and more money in the Temple District was really funny. I went back to that part of Tribunal and tried all different things, From giving him nothing to giving him a million. Then the next time I see him, He attacks me. once I even tried to get my money back and hed refused to talk to me, so I attacked him. He would attack me in a couple of days anyway so what the heck, well that little sucker is really hard to hit. He never did any damage to me but 5 times I had to drink a fatique potion just from swinging my sword and blocking the little guy. one good thing is my block skills went up twice while fighting the little turd. when I finally killed him I found that he was wearing A complete set of Ebony Armor. He also had an amulet of +15 luck constant effect and my money on him.
I've done that with 2 different characters and Mehra has never mentioned anything about a rat plague. Others have, FX the cleaning woman inside the temple, but there's no journal entries when she does it.

Could it be that it's random what pops up when I ask her about rumors, and maybe if I leave the area and return, she will eventually come up with the rumor that triggers the quest?
