Where can you get the grand soul gems, as i am all out of them, and i cant seem to buy them anywhere, are there any decent caves with loads in?

try going azura shrine and do a quest for azura, she'll reward you a reuseable soul gem.

Put some points in your Luck, and go storm some bandit caves. You'll find at least one grand gem per cave.

I think it has something to do with your level. The higher level you are, the more chances you find better things.
at level 78, I keep finding grand soul gems on caves. |

That's true: many crates contain leveled loot, the bigger you are, the better items they contain. Soul gems are usually leveled.

I was around level 20 (Luck around 45) when I conquered a bandit cave, and found almost ten gems.
Perhaps they are fixed in that cave?
