Hello all. I have an annoying issue with Tribunal. *SPOILER*

Finally thought that I'd go and pay old Lexi a visit in her "stronghold" - bit of sight-seeing around the city of magic and light - when this guy asks me for help with some lass that's gone barmy. Turns out she's been up to naughties with Dwemer artifacts and goes off on a rampage. No problem, I'll just head into the sewers (the adventurer's friend) and teach her a thing or two about civic responsibilities.

No deal. Periodically the game freezes up, and the screen darkens (or occasionally lightens) when I try to go through doors or turn too quickly. My suspicion is that it is a sound resource problem. The music is already turned off due to frequent crashing, but I can't seem to negotiate my way past much of the sewers at all. (I suspect that a good deal of the expansion takes place down here, so you can understand my concern.) Unfortunately, I don't have a sound card at the moment, so this might be the reason why I don't get as much out of this game as I should. I really miss the music.

Question is...what can I do about it? This sound issue is really annoying me. Grrrr! Thanks gang in advance for any advice, or for any innovative commiserations (heartfelt or otherwise).

P.S. Opinions on the in-game movies, as I've never seen them. Don't ask why, as I don't know. Just had a rare moment with Azura, so I thought I'd ask. Seems she thinks my Nord's the Nerevarine. Nonsense I say. Silly old daedra, go back to sleep!

Oooo .... you're a bit underpowered. That particular place has a lot of graphicla effects .... you might be over loaded. Turn your sight distance down, that may help.

Hmmm, good point Nightstalker. Hadn't thought of that. All the sound's turned off, and I still had the same problem. Could well be graphical after all. I'll give it a try. Thanks mate.

I'm surprised you're able to run the game at all. That voodoo card has only 16 meg memory on the card. I believe system requirements state a minimum of a 32 meg card.

5's ran at 64. Upgrading the ram helped initially, but I've had to run with the sound off (the music at least) from near the beginning. That has helped too, but this new problem may have hightened the need for a sound card - and probably a new video card as well.
