When I'm playing, my mouse is really slow and jerky and awkward to move around. Very annoying when I'm shopping and trying to save and so on! It didn't happen the first couple of times I played and it's not a general mouse problem, only in the game. Anyone know what's wrong and how to fix?
Thanks

i may nto know much about morrowind, but im a computer wiz. First what kind of mouse do you have ps2 or usb? optical or ball? usb is faster than ps2. before buying a new mouse do this click start then run then type in dxdiag, after then menu comes up and the bar is done loading, click next until you come to a little slider put it to basic hardware accelleration. If this doesnt work turn your morrowind resolution as low as it will go, and if the pc version of morrowind supports different software options and your card does as well, switch to open gl or ogl. If you know your system specs give them to me if all of the above does not work. hope that was of some help to ya.

I thought it has something to do with your computer been on for so long. just reboot your computer and restart the game.

No, no ... I had the same happen. Your PC may be underpowered for the settings you chose. What processor/RAM/vid card do you have, and what resolution/graphics options are you running? If you can, lower the game resolution and view distance. It won't look as pretty but it will play.

The only time I've run into that problem is when I've tried pushing the rez real high in the game. If you've already lowered the resolution in the game, then you need to start looking at disabling some of the "eye candy" in the game.
Go to the video options and remove or lower some of the options and see if things improve.

Hmm well my specs are all as good as they say is necessary... and I just thought it was telling that it didn't happen the first couple of times I played. And nothing's changed since then
I think I remember someone having a very similar problem with wizardry 8. I think I'll go search in there, I remember something about fixing scroll settings or somesuch.

did you try lowering your harware acc.? and if your computer software supports it get a usb mouse, they are way faster. I had this problem in alot of games until i got a motherboard that supported usb mice.

If your going to try installing DX6 over DX8, you're asking for trouble. Besides I don't think MW will run unless you have at least DX 8.
I guess the question we all should have asked previously is what version of directx are you running? Did you install DX9? If so that may be the problem. I've heard complaints from some that have installed DX9. Among the complaints were reduced frame rates and inability to run older games.
