The Cheating Cheatiness

Now Ive been wondering for some time... how much do people cheat when playing Morrowind? I only cheat if I have too - when facing bugs and such. How about you?

never ever...EVER...
though i have this crazy glitch in my game where NPC's keep on dissappearing randomly.
i couldn't continue the Blades quests becuase Sharn Gra-Muzgob vanished and was nowhere to be found. also, recently the wizard who lets you travel in ald-ruhn has vanished.
i had to go into the TES editor thing and 'replace' them...

Sharn Gra-Muzgob is always taking breaks from her job of being in existence. Its a common bug. I, however, replaced her with the console.

only when I encounter bugs. like trueflame quest bug, dagoth en...something missing bug the balmora mage lady missing bug.

I've never had to cheat in the game. I have used the console to reset actors (RA) when they get in the way sometimes and block my way.
Once long ago, when I first started playing the game (nearly a year ago) one of the NPC's in the lower level of the mage guild in Balmoral disappeared. I was in a bad way, spent many hours in the game, then find this NPC critical to finishing the main quest is missing. A few days later the first MW patch was released, upon installing the NPC reappeared.

the patch didn't do anything for me, the mage lady still disappear whenever she likes it. even in tribunal she will occsionally go AWOL.

The creepertrader mod is cheating in a way. So yeah, i cheat. The first time i finished Morrowind i did it without that mod.

I dont know what mod you are talking about johnny, but selling to Creeper or Mudcrap wouldnt be considered cheating - at least not by me.

They're talking about a mod that ups the $$$ Creeper has to buy stuff from you.

I didn't cheat the first time through, and still don't except to use commands like "fixme" when an NPC's blocking the doorway or something. It's so easy to get $$$ and go up levels in this game that it's almost unnecesary.

Ah, I see. Well, it IS kinda cheating to use such a mod.

And the 'FixMe' command is not supposed to get by when NPCs are blocking your path - Its supposed to get you out of walls and terrain.
