Sanguine Items & Beloth the Undying

Do you need to keep Sanguine items for any reason? I`m starting to get a lot of them and I never sold them because they are constant effect and I wondered if I might need them in a quest.

Also - who is Beloth the Undying? He had a special shield that wasn`t worth much but I figured there must be something to him, or is he just a special skeleton there for no apparent reason? Kept the shield incase it was quest related.

those sanguine items are for morag tong quest.

there are lots of named monsters in morrowind. some are related to quest while others is just useless. if you have doubt just keep the shield you found.

You should keep them all stashed away in case you want to "follow Mephala's threads" and return them to the Morag Tong. If you return them all you will be rewarded with a fortify skill spell by the grandmaster Eno Hlaalu (beware, don't get the grandmaster title before returning all the items - Eno will disappear with the quest). A long quest, which requires a lot of exploring since Eno doesn't tell you where all the items are. The reward is good but a bit low in my opinion: you can get a fortify skill spella also by following the mage guild path, or so I heard.

no, mage guild don't give you any fortify skill spell. the sanguine quest is the only one that give you such spell.

actually, don't get the second last rank for morag tong yet before finishing the sanguine quest or Eno will keep on talking about promoting you to grandmaster.

Any item I find with a unique name, I keep and stash because it usually indicates a quest item.

I found a duplicate of Beloth's shield so I sold them both. I think I`m going to sell all the sanguine items too because I don`t think my nord will be joining the ranks of the Morag Tong.
