a little help? tribunal questions...

1. Detritus caria in Craftman hall wants a bolt of imperial rat hair fabric, ie a burgundy fabric with a diamond pattern on its side. What's the hell is that? where can I find that stupid thing.

2. Can I kill Gaenor? he just cheated me 11111 gold. when I killed him a journal entry appear saying that "i just killed gaenor". is he an important npc?

I'm not very good with names, but the Gaenor fellow, if you're talking about the guy that keeps asking for money, well. I first gave him money, up until a thousand and when I saw he kept wanting more, I reloaded and refused him right off the bat. He went away vowing to return. He did indeed later in the game, wearing all ebony armor and attacking me. I was told he is one of the toughest fights in the game. If you manage to kill him you'll have a complete set of ebony armor.

So gaenor is not an important npc? cool! but when I kill him, where is my gold? it's not in his body.

He certainly is the toughest fight. Of all the NPCs I fought in Tribunal, he was the hardest. The funny thing is that I don't remember him asking me for money one way or the other - he just showed up outside of the Temple one day and attacked me. I would suggest that some form of resist paralysis would be good. In fact, I usually make a CE belt with resist paralysis on it now just because of old Gaenor.

I can't answer your other quest questions because I've not come across them yet. Regarding the loss of money, well if you gave him the money and then he came back later, obviously he spent it on his fine armor. Whatever occurred, apparently once you give him the money, it's gone.
My recommendation is to reload, refuse him straightaway and wait until he returns later in the game and get his goods.

I find that having 25,000 coin right now is a good thing because I find myself having to scarf up life potions where ever I find them. You see I wear Indoril armor which means I also have to fight all the High Ordinators. I had to kill 5 of the pests in that museum.

yes, I notice that those high ordinators got very good heavy armor. but it's the second best in heavy armor. daedric armor is still the best though.

Gaenor is nowhere to be found now. I think he is buying those ebony armor to kill me. but can he? hehehe..

- ps. do you all think playing tribunal is a waste of time? I don't see any guild in mournhold where I can join.

Enter the Sewers in Godshome, wander till you find a place like Battle something - you're on the path to them. They should be in a manor district beyond that. They are not far from the Goblin Warlords. Bring lots of healing potions.

Sorry I can't be more specific, I just wandered and stumbled into them.
