Telryn Gale
Telryn walked on silent, not daring to turn around. No matter how much smaller this Isokla was, he was scared of her. She had such a temper, he wouldn't like to get on the wrong side of her. He wondered what that Zak had said to her to provoke such a reaction. He decided not to press the matter further. He walked ahead in silence, not knowing what to say after such a scene. Narar
As the heated exchange between the shrouded one and came to an end, Nines almost instinctivley sensed anger and unhappiness, almost as he could pick the scent from the air. Nines crawled toward Isokla and up to her shoulder, trying to lighten the mood between Isokla and Zak, but he could not find the other, so Nines settled for Isokla. Ansolon Slightly after the shouting match betwixt the shrouded assassin and the young one, Asolon tried to work his way to the front with the young woman to see if he could service her wound. Kagarioni replies to his questions very quietly, not wanting to trigger Isokla's outbursts "My name is Kagarioni Kathrion. My father leads the Group of 9 adventurers, and I'm here just to see what's around the bend, so to speak." Kagarioni notices the sorcerer but remains silent, scanning the area nearly constantly |

As far as to seeing to Isokla's wound, Asolon discovered that the girl would not let him near her, instead scowling and shaking her head, generally grouchy and not in the mood for discussion. "There is nothing you can do - please, let it alone and allow it to heal naturally with the help of herbs. I will deal with it myself when we stop soon and are safe. But I thank you for the concern." The young woman smiled, but persisted in not allowing anyone near it. |

OOC - Lucky I didn't get a slap with handsight for half-carrying her.
![]() Detheriel Detheriel struggled not to show any signs of overt surprise at Isokla's words. The violent (yet almost invisible) trembling of her body belied the calm coldness in her voice as she addressed the mercenary and it was clear to him that this was a very emotional subject for her. As Ydalon worked his way around the group socialising, Detheriel made sure to look extremely busy rummaging in his pack as the boy passed by. He walked in stolid silence with many questions to ponder. How was the Lady able to walk with almost no support? He watched her attempts to keep her wound hidden with suspicion - he knew that his healing skills were not able to perform miracles such as these. Rudimentary patching-up at best he thought to himself. Something about this Lady is definitely hidden from us. Idly wondering whether she would be forthcoming with her name now, he considered the young lad leading them. Detheriel watched him mingling easily with the party, leading them like a shepherd and his unquestioning flock. Mindful that his question about encountering bandits along the road had been avoided, he made sure to keep scanning the undergrowth on either side in case of an ambush. Might he be in league with the bandits? Would he simply get the party killed through incompetence? His brow furrowed in thought, he plodded along the trail, pausing only occasionally to ensure the comfort of his ever-stronger companion. He noted with some approval that Telryn was also choosing to keep himself to himself and decided to follow the same course, at least until more could be ascertained about his companions. The sudden smooth appearance of the figure in the red hood only added to his unease. The lack of surprise or challenges evinced by the rest of his party further compounded his fear that not enough attention was being paid to the world around them in what was, by all accounts, dangerous territory. Patience Detheriel, patience he thought to himself, slowly testing the draw of his dagger every few minutes as he walked along. [ 07-28-2005, 06:34 PM: Message edited by: shamrock_uk ] |

Nivram
There are some rather strange people in this group. - he thought, while walking along silently. "My name is Nivram" - he said when it became his turn to speak, and that was all that he said, as still feeling the aftereffects of alcohol he did not feel up to the challenge of telling these people about his life. |

OCC: Whos in the red hood? mines black.
Zak stalked the edges of the camp, thinking about what the woman had said. She may be beautiful, he thought to himself. but she's got an attitude a mile long. I wonder about Nivram. The drunk cant possibly be good.I will watch him. I also belive i should have another talk with the lady, in the morning, when she's happier. |

Ydalon
Silence and curt were the responses he received, with only a bare few exceptions. Clearly none of them felt at ease in the group, or they would speak more freely. They were strangers who considered themselves forced together by circumstance, distrusting eachother, but also respecting the hidden abilities of their companions. They did not discuss where they came from, nor where they were going. They did not speak of news, or meals, or even the weather. Let alone of themselves. Naught but the odd remark about bandits. One or two had even joined without remark or invitation, tagging along in dead silence. If they would split ways shortly and never see one another again, then why the mystery? It seemed as if each had something sinister to hide, carried the scars to prove it, and the abilities to endure and survive. Ydalon would have liked to see greater camaraderie after sharing the bridge encounter, but it was not to be. Fair enough. He shared a look with Isokla for a moment, and then called a halt in a clearing. The air was moist with Ryr, as the river rushed past on the other side of the gently sloped hill. Fungi covered a number of felled forest sentinels, and insects were seen dancing in the air wherever the mild sunlight reflected off their tiny bodies just so. The trees here were mainly oak and hawthorn, though other species, too, had found their way to the forest. The chatter of birds filled the air overhead with the sounds of life. Spotting a tall treestump near the center of the field, the boy was quick to clamber on top and claim this perch as his own. He then waited for the others to find a seat of their own, or to remain standing behind trees if they preferred. "We're taking a rest so she can stop limping," he explained, indicating the injured woman. "And because there is something else I need to know before I take you any further. You've all seen the Lords of Vision, the outlaws at the bridge. They're making life impossible for normal folk, and they're hoarding a ton of wealth. How many of you are seriously interested in helping me stop them?" |

Telryn Gale
Telryn stared at Ydalon before saying "I'll help you." Helping the less fortunate was what he was all about, why else would he coming Captain of the Guard in The Capital? These bandits had to be put in their places. [ 07-31-2005, 04:38 PM: Message edited by: Ivelliis ] |

Detheriel
Detheriel sat down on the ground not far away from the central tree-stump. He took a moment simply to relax in this remarkably beautiful opening in the forest then looked up at Ydalon. Somehow he was much reassured at the boys' words. They showed that he was feeling as unsure as everybody else and clearly he had an interest in protecting normal folk. Feeling somewhat sheepish at his earlier silence Detheriel was quick to voice his support. "That is also my intention" he spoke. "If your goals are honourable then I will stand by you." He paused for a moment, then continued. "Detheriel is my name. Truly my background is not interesting, but I am a traveller of sorts. I shall be glad to offer my skills to aid you."
