Arcades took what money he had for occasions where he deals with humans and makes his way to the local stables, buying a pair of horses for the journey. He then purchases two saddles and the needed provisions for the trip. The entire ordeal left his supply of gold well drained.
"Well, I suppose i'll have to stop by my hoard and resupply sometime. I just dont think it's possible on foot." he mutters to himself as he mounts the white arabian horse and rides with the other horse behind them to the Oak tree. |

Inquisitor Marcos of Snowdale - 98/98
"The man ought not be out of his cells, and the guardsmen know better than that. Wizards are always trouble, and I see the other warlock now roams free as well." For indeed, the shapeshifter had vanished. "The pair of you will not be doing any fighting. The wizards do not come for you, and I have no desire to see you slaughtered without cause. Magic is a dangerous thing." The inquisitor turned to the guards. "Bring the man outside and see what can be done for him. Then send someone up into the tower to bar and secure all openings. Should they show no intent of leaving shortly, it may be our only option." Walking around the desk, his gaze slid by each of those present. "I shall be needing a moment of calmth while I learn what I can." With that, he slowed his breathing and directed his senses to the detection of magic. ooc: He'll try to locate the sources of trouble first through detect magic, and provided that doesn't give any horrible backlashes, he'll follow up with detect evil. Vincent Pathfinder 98/98
Taking a deep breath trying to calm himself from lashing out at the exasperating paladin he holds it for a few seconds and lets it out slowly, then taking another one and letting it out slowly. " You done yet, can I go help Larry, you and I both know, that is provided your still cap there has impeded you, that Larry isnt capable of defending himself at this point " I wish this infernal man would shit or get off the pot, I swear he thinks like molasses on a cold day. Vincent then takes another breath and hold's it and lets it go slowly, waiting on the Inquisitor. |

Marcos Uses his ability to detect Magic
Results: Your abilities tell you that there is one entity using a very dark magic in this building. Spells of defence are currently the strongest weavings of spells, though there are traces of horrible offencive spells still lingering in the air as well...spells that have already taken lives. The magic is none like you have ever seen before, being a combination of Mystra's Weave and traces of Shar's influence for which you know to mean that the Shadow Weave is being called upon as well to intermingle with the spells. Until now, you had never guessed that such a feat was possible. Marcos Uses his ability to detect Evil Results: From closest to furthest away, you first locate two dark printed entities within the prison cell area. Extending your reach, you find another print that is darker than the previous two. Further concentration tells you that there are three entities in that same vicinity that are not printed with darkness like that of the previous three nor are they bleached in white, such as a small child would be found. However, their tainted colors are noticably darker than those of any guard here who keeps secrets in the closet. You can guess at the identities of two of these, but the third eludes you as to who it might be. [ 01-19-2005, 10:58 AM: Message edited by: Larry_OHF ] |

Nanashi heard the voice at her back, but did not bother to turn and see who was talking. She knew his scent and realized it was one of Larry's friends from the tavern. She could tell that he was badly injured, but had also grown stronger with the animal in him awakening to its full potential. She smiled, but only Gregory bore witness to it as he stood there and tried to feign heroism. In reality, he did not want to die for a prisoner but it was his duty to do so, and so there he stood like a fool. She finally turned and winked at Plaxica, saying... "Wait your turn..." With that, she sprinted toward the man who had quickly raised his defences when he saw her rushing him, much like he did to her moments ago. She was so fast! He tried to step out of the way to the left, and strike downward and right from his defencive stance, hoping to slash his attacker before she could recover from her sprint. However, she again was not there, but had jumped into the air before reaching the man, who swung at open air while she was sailing above and behind him. He had put so much determination in his swing that he could not change it in mid-strike and had to follow through, but then turned to face her again, raising his sword high above his head with both hands in an attempt to chop her down. That was mistake number two. With his defences clearly out of the way, she brought in her claws, grabbed his throat and ripped it out. He knew he was dead, but his instincts to carry through his final assault was still pulsing through his nerves, telling them what to do. The sword fell upon his enemy, cutting into her left shoulder and burying itself deep. Still holding onto his sword, he fell backwards which pulled the sword from the wound of his attacker. He was dead before he hit the ground. She screamed in surprise and pain as the dead man still carried out his decent with the sword, cutting her deep in the shoulder. He fell backwards which pulled the sword from her wound. She wanted to punish him so bad for this, but he was already dead. She put a clawed hand to her shoulder to stop the bleeding, which had already begun to slow down. By not being a weapon of silver, the wound was only temporary. She looked up at the were-owl, and snarled her painful hatred at him since she could not do it to the dead man. "So...you're next? Let's get this over with...I have more work to do this day." |

He could but watch as Nanashi slayed the guard. He had been powerless to save the man. With his last dying act the man had cut the shoulder of Nanashi. Yet he knew that alone he could not defeat Nanashi. He just needed to hold her here until the Inquisitor managed to mobilise his men. He hoped that this would happen in a few minutes time. He was already injured. He decided he would try to make the tiger talk, although he stayed on his guard, ready to transform whenever he had to. "So Liam let you go afterall. Or did you kill him?" |

Inquisitor Marcos of Snowdale - 98/98
He took a moment to interpret the sensations, then closed his mind to them once more. His eyes fixed on Vincent, holding his gaze. Marcos drew his ornately decorated warhammer, and with a thud rested it on the wooden desk. The sweets jumped up, disturbed. "You know neither where to hurry nor what to expect. Your drive is a loyalty to a man you hardly know, and who may well delete the entire domain name. The sole contribution you can make at this point is your own senseless death. I will not have it." "There is no invading army to fight. Only a handful of assassins of greater skill than you believe. Their abilities with magic surpass that of many a witch I have tried, despite the dark pacts they often made." "At least three of those wandering free command magic. Of three others, I could not say, but I believe I shall assume the worst for the moment. It requires we go about matters differently. If you insist on throwing your life away, you may get the oppertunity later, though I do not approve." |

Nanashi
Her wound had stopped bleeding already. The gash was soon there, but she acted as though there was no hole in her shoulder. "You care for my treachorus brother now? You don't have to worry about him. He'll live with his regrets a few more days. I can't promise he'll live much longer after I take care of Larry, however. You should go to him now...he probably needs a foolish friend and you should do quite nicely. Now if you'll excuse me, I am about my Master's business..." She closes her dialog with a mock bow and turns toward the scent of Larry, and takes off on foot after him. |

He looked at the retreating back of the weretiger. She regarded him as insignificant as he really was. He could do nothing to stop her, but talk. "Do you flee from combat?" - he shouted after her. |

Kynnen 117/117
The cell doors' lock let go, and the cell opened outward lazily. Before Andrion was a drow, quite strongly built for an elf, with long white hair all tied in a loose tail behind his back. Flashes of possibilities raced through Kynnen's mind, the visions of slaying countless guards in a myriaid of ways with his great falchion. In a big, spacious hall. Kynnen grinned at the thought, and quietly let out "Duul'sso..." He looked at the statue-like mage that freed him, and said "I thank you for my release, faern. You wanted to know of the prisoner who was in the cell next to mine?" As he talked, he reached behind his head for his hair, and proceeded to untie the middle thong of the three. I was not actually a hair thong, but a necklace. "He was freed by a man, saved from the hands of a killer of sorts. A great murrpau, a cat, it seemed." He pulled out the necklace head from his hair, and tied the necklace around his neck, with the adamnatine symbol of Vhearun, his dark elven diety. "They ran up those stairs, with the attacker chasing them." He showed the stairs, and watched his freer, his stone-skin enchantment, which he recognised, and a blue sphere around him, a warding spell most likely, Kynnen though. OOC: Duul'sso means free, faern is wizard, and the murrpau is cat. Also, Larry, am I allowed to do the thing I did?
