ooc sorry for not posting for a while, things've been rather hectic here, and I haven't had a whole lot of net access at work.
IC: A few signs are visible upon closer inspection, a slight claw mark on some tree bark, a broken leafstem on a towering oak, a scrap of hair caught on a rough piece of wood, if you had to guess it would seem that the wolf went up into a tree, as strangely as that sounds, and apparently it is being very careful about leaving behind as little trail for you to follow as it can, and it definitely apears to have the woodlore of an experienced ranger. (I'm guessing Nanashi will find this first, still no scent trail leading away from the clearing) Wolf The scent of blood was strong, as strong as the magic within the blood, it was most likely elven, the creatures were a living embodiment of the weave, it was entwined in everything that they did as much a part of them, as the hunt, and Hunger was a part of the wolf. There were other scents investigating, and the scent of the khan sent a thrill through him, nearly as mighty as the wolves themselves, their arrogance in tracking a wolf kindled a fire inside his heart, and the rage built higher. |

Inquisitor Marcos of Snowdale - 98/98
At the call of one of his future sources, the inquisitor tore his gaze away from the distant keep. The last minute addition to the group, still unconscious, had slipped off of the horse and onto the sand-packed ground. His own erring, he would need to secure the man more tightly when they set off again. Somewhat disgusted by the others' sitting around when it would be so little effort to show a kindness, Marcos decided that would be now. He kept his voice neutral as he searched Andrion for fresh injuries and old ones once again bleeding, but it was obvious all their souls were tainted to some extent at least. "We shall be moving on shortly," he told them. "I should like for us to arrive this day." |

Andrion Wilgor 60/60
Andrion felt the Inquisitor's hands moving over him and felt the need to act. If the Inquisitor noticed he was fully healed he would get into trouble. He moved around a bit and turned over with a groan. "Where am I? What happened?" - he asked in an artificially weak voice. [ 10-28-2004, 12:38 PM: Message edited by: dplax ] |

Inquisitor Marcos of Snowdale - 98/98
He ceased his inspection of the supposed assassin's injuries, and sat him up instead. "You are on the road to Lesismoore Castle. As to what happened, that is precisely what I intend to find out." he said to Andrion. "Though we have stopped for the moment, it is time for us to carry on. As you were placed under arrest following the attempt on Silverfall's life," he nodded to Larry, "I shall have to bind your hands before we start out. You will not be required to walk, and your wounds will be tended as soon as they may." |

Andrion Wilgor 60/60
He had managed to avoid being fully inspected but while he was letting his hands be tied he let his thoughts drift towards the shadow mage. My Lord, should this stupid man find out about my injuries the plan you came up with might fall apart. Could you give me visible, yet not severe wounds where the dragon had clawed me? |

For Andrion: Upon his request in faith to his master, the wounds that had been healed previously appeared again as though they had been, yet a little less severely. When Andrion moved a certain way blood gushed from his wound, saturating the bandages.
(Andrion has lost 20hp during this turn.) ================================================= For Roderick/Rodie: The corridor that you found seems just as dreary as any other in this dark tower. The air is just as stale. You revive health with your potion, and move onward at a better pace than you were making. The beast cannot be heard anymore past the doorway. You do not feel safe however, for this type of creature may just be stalking you more silently now that it has a fix on you. At the end of this corridor, there is a stone wall with a lever made of gold. It is in the "up" position. ================================================= Nanashi: Nanashi's instincts were screaming alarms at her. Her hair was standing on end and she felt a very unnatural feeling in the air, that spooked her. She then picked up air that she was ahead of others that she already recognized and hated. Were they following her or this same curious attraction in the forest? Did they even know she was nearby? She allowed a soft growl to project her anger at not knowing which pathway she should take from here. Her mind had been clouded by her brother's encounter and the whole odeal had weakened her spirits. She decided to scout onward for this strange entity and let the ones following her lull around on their own. ================================================= Larry Silverfall: Larry had felt ashamed that he had ignored the feeling to help the fallen man, but he could not bring himself to do it, when this man was responsible for losing the Candle he needed to bring back his wife Mistral from the grave. It was a necessary component in an old shadow spell he had invented long ago in his darker days, but could never use it until his heart was again pure. However, Marcos had run to his aid and was even now dealing with the fallen Andrion. Larry looked ahead toward the castle and saw some horsemen coming their way bearing a banner of blue on white. In short time, they arrived to the side of Marcos' convoy. Horseman #1:"Lord Marcos, I have been sent to accompany you and your charge to the castle to ensure your safe arrival. My men shall take up the perimeter and ride with you the rest of the way. The dungeon has been prepared for your prisoners and rooms provided for your witnesses. Will you require any other accomodations, my lord?" ================================================= Rong Er: "Glad you like the cloak. Now what are we to do? Do we have a place in this town or is there another adventure less life-threatening than this one that we can get mixed up in?" OOC>>>The cloak's design can be your choice. ================================================= For Tao: The last time we left Tao, she was being struck by some unknown thing. The situation is the same. |

Andrion Wilgor 40/60
Andrion drew his breath in sharply as he felt the wounds reopen. Yet he did not say anything, only moved around uneasily. |

Arcades' elven hearing and sight picks up on Nanashi and the Werewolf moving closer to her. He sends a short, telepathic message to the nearby Liam. "Nanashi is nearby, Liam, and the creature we seek is seeking her over the scent of my blood. If your at all attached to her, I would suggest you help her."
The disguised dragon begins to shift form back to a medium sized Gold Dragon, remaining small enough to keep covered by the trees. His self-inflicted wound heals during the transformation process as his flesh molds and expands to fit his new form. |

Wolf
The gaze of the man-wolf narrowed, the blood scent changed, and as he scanned for it's source he saw something that surprised him, a small dragon was in the area. The Curse would find welcome root in the heart of such a powerful force for good, and corrupting it would make the master happier yet, but it was not yet time to strike. The two Khan were nearby, and from the scents on them, sweat, the blood of the other on each. They were no friends but might unite against a greater perceived threat. They were fools, weak fools who let their instincts be dulled by mortal limitations, although he sensed, as with many large felids, the female was the one to be wary of. Drawing a claw across his mangled arm he drew blood, and watched it pool on a leaf. Knowing that they would quickly catch the scent of his blood in the oak tree, he gazed into it, and beyond it, and began to step into and through the small pool. In moments he was in a realm of twilight, similar but different from the physical world. There were occasional shadows of spiderweb holding bits of the forest together, and shadows of the two tigers, softly shimmering through the veil that seperated the worlds, and a brilliant golden luminence that revealed where the dragon. He quickly dropped from the shadowy tree and stalked around circling behind the glowing draconic form. ooc PM's for Liam, Arcades, Nanashi, and one other. |

Quietly they have come, these gray and heavy clouds, gathering in gradual accumulation along the edges of the sky. By slow degrees the taste of moisture in the air has built until the first few drops of rain have begun to fall. And like many a rainfall this time of year, such a slow beginning builds in quiet increments into a downpour of some strength. For some time the rain falls heavily downward until the roads run thick with mud and the languid movement of swollen clouds wraps the sky within heavy bands of gray. The low rumbling of distant and muted thunder sounds within the clouds, its notes promising to build in steady increments into a more substantial tone. And still the rain falls with gathering force as if, were such a thing possible, it finds joy in the sheer and simple act of falling.
Used with permission from Cyril, who contributed the post. The rain beat down on Larry and his travelling party, soaking them to the bone as it were. "Blast this weather! Let us hurry off with these guards and get out of this rain! Pick that dying, traitorous fool up and lets go already!" [ 11-22-2004, 12:25 PM: Message edited by: Larry_OHF ] |
